China is looking for a way to reduce number of places where one could exchange to fiat. They are going to issue a license to approved exchanges. That means they will get tax support and monitoring from the selected exchanges and will once again control flow of money.

What you should be paying attention to is the value of a decentralized exchange that will support fiat.

China is a but of business men looking to dump their money. They will continue to do so into all crypto.
