You know how any eth token can fill an eth smart contract because they're interchangeable in that regard? Smart bridges would essentially do that for all crypto. So you could use your bitcoin/dgb/bitbean/neo to fill eth contracts and visa versa. And Ark is basically the "connecting" crypto between them all. They already have a working eth smartbridge that would allow you to fill eth smart contracts with Ark
