>>324923well when amdoge and bdanyo spoke with mintpal , they were being vague with them and didnt give us specific price/volume/time period
>>324904>Why do you think PoS will magically make PND worth more?the simple reason before any of this happened was the hashrate that was in direct mining in the official pools and solo mining could be directed to the multipool instantly increasing its valueHowever just the hype of POS has caused could people to join the multipools and actually increasing its valueonce POS gets implemented and there is no way to gain PND directly more and more people will keep joining the multipools due to the clear profitability of it
>>324941plus it'll remove shitloads of sellwalls. people want to be earning interest, so coins will be in their wallets, not on exchanges.
>>324942that too, but i think a lot of people will be impatient on waiting a whole year for interestso those people are likely to cash out time to time

>>324943>waiting a whole yearis this a thing?>>324951this site always tells me there are too many transactions from my address, to show my balance. anyone know what the cut off point is?
Holy shit what happened to the difficulty?
>>324955>is this a thing?yes , annually 2.5% your wallet will be credited with PND interest i imaginei was gonna recommend splitting the annual interest in 12 and paying monthly, but 2.5 /12 is messy
>>324951That's not really accurate, people keep their pnds in exchanges or in separate wallets, I think there are more than what's shown
>>324966>people keep their pnds in exchanges or in separate walletsthe PNDs you keep in exchanges earn nothing for you in interest, the interst goes to the exchanges cause its their walletsThe PNDs you keep in your seperate wallets you get interest credited to them accordingly
>>324959Pretty sure that's not how PoS works. It's still like mining, but instead of hashrate you have coins in your wallet, new blocks come at the same 1 minute rate and your chance of finding blocks over the course of a full year amounts to roughly 2.5% increase, the distribution of that is completely up in the air and I don't think the 2.5% is entirely fixed either. I don't actually know the theory behind PoS but that's what I've gathered from looking at PoS coin wallets.
Do people really care about the 2.5% interest? 12 months is a long time to wait for just 2.5%. Surely it would be more preferable to have your coins on the exchange ready to trade at any given moment.
>>324980>>324980>new blocks come at the same 1 minute rate and your chance of finding blocks over the course of a full year amounts to roughly 2.5% increase, the distribution of that is completely up in the airi am not sure if that is the case in PND entirely, sure blocks maybe found by by the bigger amount wallets but the distribution would be among all PND wallets based on their balances
>>324990people with huge balances will wait, hence it ensure PND will not be dumped in huge amounts
>>324999Could be, we'll have to ask amDOGE about it.

>>325039Since we're holding the coins for the sake of proving that we own a certain share of the network (weight) it will mean that the "bigger" wallets will also get bigger rewards if it is that what you're asking.
>>325044I'm wondering if when a block is found, do all the coins go to the wallet that found the block or is it distributed evenly amongst all the wallets open? From what you posted I suppose it's the latter.

>>325047LTC
I don't quite understand how POS is going to jump PNDs value. There's a ton of POS coins out there already that are stagnant... POS is nothing new these days.In the fast paced world of cryptos/technology, I don't foresee many people waiting a year for 2.5%.
>>325046Whoever finds the block. It is called mining indirectly as well.
>>325049Because it makes the asset scarce and desirable to own. Since you won't be able to mine it through normal means anymore it is better to "scnatch coins just in case they might be worth something in the future", so right now it's still based on pure speculation. PND comes with a bunch of strengths over your average shitcoin (namely good and honest community, active developement team (7), multipool which is a huge huge huge huge plus).Going by that PND is the most attractive coin to mine right now, objectively.
>>325049Expanding on that, IMO, for PND to really moonrocket we need merchants that will sell things for PND. Use as a legit currency will create demand and increase value - ie Bitcoin.
>>325052Do you have any merchants on board?
>>325055Not yet but this shouldn't be hard to create digital products that can be sold.
>>325056inb4 bambooroad gets created.
>>325056What kinds of "digital products" are you inferring?I like the PND community and I want to see this coin succeed in the long term. I'm trying to think of ways to help that along.
>>325053The most useful service that could be created is a bitpay alternative, but that most likely wouldn't be viable with the current volatility and volume.
>>325055Majority of alt coins make the mistake of attempting to bring merchants on board when the community size, market volume (liquidity) and price is not right. We have a solid roadmap and a talented team onboard to make that happen by securing a large community size first. We added 3 new development team members this week to ensure we see our vision for PND happen!
>>325057>>>325058Can be anything from game skins to music or whatever people desire to use in normal life.
>>325061What about physical goods? I have a bunch of novelty crap left over from a previous business sitting around in boxes that I would happily sell for PND if there was a place to market it. It's not a huge amount, about $2,000 retail, well under the current market cap... but I think starting with small things would really get the ball rolling.
>>325065Good idea of course but I think that physical goods will have to wait until we are more established in the digital realm, ie. try maybe in one or two months.
>>325060What exactly are you developing anyway? PoS probably doesn't require 7 devs at this point.
is anyone able to set up a hosted, comprehensive webstore service, so everyone is able to easily sell their stuff for pnd?
>>325066See>>325068This is what I'm referring to. An "Ebay" of sorts for PND. As far as I know, there is no other coin that has a community where things can be bought and sold by anyone in the respective community. I think being the first coin to offer up this sort of marketplace would be a massive hit. I would do it myself if I knew how.You need to think like a business owner for PND to really take off, otherwise in the grand scheme of things, it's "just another coin".
>>325068I could make a frontend but I have no clue how the backend works with those. Maybe I could figure it out but for about 1 more month I don't have a whole lot of free time.>>325069I think Credits have a store like that.

>>32507624 hour volume 0.00037394 BTC.Methinks credits is dead, lol.BUt in all seriousness, with this community I think a shopping site would really work. Even the kids with "nothing" to sell probably have old video games and whatnot they'd like to get rid of.
>>325067Good question, you are correct. With a team of 7 there should be more than just PoS :)A 4chan-exclusive sneak preview of our to-be-released official statement from the dev team and our vision for the coin! We list things that are on our ever increasing massive to-do list. http://pastebin.com/tvdEugt1Excuse the typos here and there, it's a draft that I've crafted thus far and it'll differ slightly with the final one.
>>325067We are on 7 devs now, but the draft copy states 5, since we acquired the additional 2 very recently!
>>325083>http://pastebin.com/tvdEugt1>Pandacoin (PND) seeks to be more of a true functional currency mechanism to be used in commerce interchange,That's what I'm saying! Does anyone on your dev team have the ability to design and implement a "shopanda.com" (or whatever you wanna call it)?I would immediately list $2k worth of inventory to the site. I have this stuff just sitting around, would love to do something useful with it.
big dump!
>>325083>>325085No offense but that writeup is dancing on borderline pretentiousness. It's all well in itself but so many coins do this kind of shit where at launch they set out to fulfill some incredibly huge goal, become the leading crypto in this or that country, area, whatever, empower the poor, and they don't even begin to get anywhere near that goal, ever, this whole approach is really tainted by now. I don't think it's a good idea to release something like that at this point. My suggestion is drastically reducing the amount of text that deals with why it's going to become the leading crypto in Asia and all of the why Asia needs crypto.
Hmmm... it seems there is already a site paralleling what I'm suggesting - stuffcoins.com. 2,400 facebook followers. Maybe try getting partnered with them? Currently they use DOGE and BTC.
>>325095If there's nothing properly established you're probably better off creating your own, "you" being the PND community.
>>325093+1, currently sounds like something from PANDA.also, mention 4chan.
>>325097Never mention 4chan. To every casual out there 4chan has an incredibly bad image and casuals make up the vast majority of the market. It can easily scare people away with them thinking it's some scam because 4chan = trolls in their minds.
>>325095stuffcoins would be yet another service we would rely on. Creating something yourself would be much more promising and telling.
>>325049iuts not just POS but it is also the demand to mine for itthe demand for PND has been modest in mining, but when you put that demand in the multipool since you can no longer mine it directly it constantly gives us constant PND buying, which gives us increased valueThis is partly the reson why PND went from 7 litoshis to ~20 litoshisNow people are speculating that PND will rise even further and this has caused it to further riseOncePOS is implemented and things calm down , we will know the true value of PND as BC found its own
>>325103I have a friend who's a web developer, I'm going to talk to him tomorrow about this. I really want to see PND take off.
>>325106Very well. The more people participating the better.
any update from mintpal on what more they need for PND to be on BTC market or how much longer do they need to keep checking it till they actually add it
>>325104Using that theory, one could speculate with BC hovering around 30k sats with a circulation of ~75 million coins, PND should settle somewhere around 400 satoshis.
>>325109>somewhere around 400 satoshis.could be possible
>>325109it depends on how much hashrate the multipool is able to garner
>>325108Nothing so far. Which is odd since we've been over 1 satoshi for some time now. Also that volume.
>>325109>somewhere around 400 satoshisOh wow.
>>325114i know, could any of the dev team sk them again what more they need?
>>325116We've harassed them on IRC several times already but, again, no response so far.
>>325109>>325110>>325115Granted that would imply a market cap of about $57 million, making PND #3 altcoin.I don't think that to be likely in the immediate future, but it's at least a feasible and reasonable number... not like 1 PND = $1.
>>325103>>325106PND needs to get a theme of its own before anything and then make everything in that theme. Dogecoin has a very distinguishable theme, Blackcoin is sort of there. It's good for any coin to be easy to distinguish and currently PND looks kind of like a mess like the vast majority of altcoins, it could really use at least a color scheme and a fitting logo.
>>325117i see
>>325109>>325110>PND>400 satoshi>could be possibleyou're joking, right?don't get me wrong, I'm all for PND but not even doge with its fuckhuge community and uncountable publicity stunts is getting that number. hell, they're even struggling to stay hovering over 100 sat.
>>325119our theme has always bent towards Panda conservation and wildlife restoration partlyhttp://pnd4pnd.com/we even raised some modest amount for various panda related causes
>>325121Doge iat that value beecause they are refusing to evolve with crypto environmentThey are adamant on remaining POW and not even merging mining or algos or anythinga lot of shitcoins have better value thandoge for various reasonseven BC is clearly has igher value than DOGE. Its not hard to see PND go around 400 sat levels
>>325121DOGE is not POS, will have 3 times as many coins as PND, and in all honesty I believe the community is starting to drive people away.
>>325093Appreciate your feedback. We feel that we would the public to understand what the PND dev team is striving towards. It is our vision for the coin forward and the direction that we will take in the future. You've mentioned that other coins could also easily sell the what ends up being a pipe dream to their users. The difference that would separate ourselves from the rest of the pack is we see a clear roadmap in which will take us ever closer towards achieving our team vision if we follow through with it.The Asia part we feel is a necessity to highlight, as in the ever convoluted alt coin space with over 400 coins, we need to differentiate ourselves with a set of USPs (unique selling propositions), and the territorial nature of it is one of them.Again I appreciate your feedback. It's a draft thus far, and I will work to refine it so it appeals to the widest spectrum of audience as possible.
>>325126I liked it.>more attractive fir Chineseneeds to be fixed though. Most people are lazy and barely give a shit about themselves, let alone others. I'd like to see a more concise version, maybe five to seven paragraphs long.
>>325119We do. These are our USPs --Late game SE Asia oriented, due to the inherent symbolism and current market niche in that space-Unique philosophy and origins of the coin since PND was created to destroy a scam coin. Thus far we have continued the anti-scam approach and compensated Asiacoin bagholders since they got scammed by their devs. Expect similar initiative in the future.-Only POS in the alt coin space when we transition to it that had a length 3 month POW distribution phase. This stands out amongst the recent trend of really short POW distribution phase of around 1 week or even less. -*To be implemented, but we will be building towards it, and have already have plans to do so* - Adopting a philosophy of simplifying cryptos to lower the current perceived barriers of entry to the world of crypto by the mainstream. Think Doge, but actually taking steps to redefine the space and become the gateway coin to crypto for many 'newbies' and 'joesixpacks' out there. We do have a theme and will be pushing it to stand out among this highly competitive space.
>>325129Those are really good
>>325128Thanks, but like I said that is the first draft copy. I t is in no way ready for release in its current conditions. I'm aware of the typos and those have been fixed on my end.I just wanted some initial feedback from the community by doing the early sneak preview :)
Bdanyo in particular is one of the reasons as to why I'm having high expectations for PND and you people should be thankful for having him on board. He's been doing a lot of heavy lifting behind the scenes - mostly the stuff I'm not capable of due to lack of experience and being severely disorganized.
>>325126>we need to differentiate ourselves with a set of USPsThis is specifically the source of the issue. Nearly every shitcoin out there feels the exact same way, they pick something up and the ones with more than 5 minutes of effort put in set out some short term goals that will supposedly help them achieve it and there's the coin. The way PND is doing it there is legitimacy to it, there is effort towards making PND accessible to the asians, maybe you could focus a little more on that aspect, put some nice stats if there are any on how much of an online presence PND already has in asia.
meanwhile the doge community is going bezerk, trying to randomly throw ten thousands of $ at random race car teams .....while still holding tight to the "1doge = 1doge.... $ value is unimportant" shit.http://www.reddit.com/r/dogecoin/comments/2541s7/v8_superdogecar_proposal/when will they finally learn that they simply CAN'T keep up throwing money around if their precious coin loses value?the real world they're trying to affect isn't caring at all that 1 doge is 1 doge.

>>325136https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fXkhku-Zo9M>>325138They deserve, only those around at the right time could see how arrogant and stupid the developers are, and because of them the community will perish, amDOGE and PND is a decent and positive force compared to them.
>>325137Agreed. The key is to put our vision out in the public domain early, and slowly achieve all the milestones that we've set for ourselves, in order to reach that vision that the entire team shares. Once those milestones are achieved by one by, slowly we'll gain the attention of more people in the crypto-space, in that they'll begin to notice that what we've initially stated in regards to our team vision is not fluff and unsubstantiated marketing crap that is currently polluting the alt coin space. We WILL convince the naysayers and doubters that PND team actually has the talent and resources to bring the entire community forward towards the team's vision. How? Through the old fashion way - by providing results for all to see :)

I can't seem to get http://thepandacoin.net/ to load on either of my PCs or my laptop. I've tried disabling my extensions as well as using other browsers but I haven't had any success. The only way I've been able to view the site so far is through my smart phone. I'm sure there is a simple way for me to fix this, but if I'm running into this problem, then I'm willing to bet there are other potential investors out there having the same issue...PND will probably be getting a fair amount of attention over the coming days as the price rises... Wouldn't it be in our best interest to make sure all potential investors have easy access to information about PND? Especially considering that anyone looking for information about "the panda coin" via search engine is going to get hits from the other two panda coins as well.
>>325185Because I've just downloaded the entire blockchain, thereby securing your network and have no coin.
Nice to see the buy/sell gap closing on PND. Good support @ 130.
>>325186>I can't seem to get http://thepandacoin.net/ to load on either of my PCs or my laptop.Right now or has been like that from the start? Are you using tor or similar?Around an hour ago we've pointed the dns to my server so that might fix a few issues. The site in general will get an overhaul soonish with more actual information - this is still obligatory.

Goddamn Swisscex. I need to buy some PND with my worthless doge.
>>325191It's been like that for me since I first tried to load the site back in March... Today was the first time I've tried to access the site on my laptop though, same results - "The connection has timed out"
>>325191 And no, I haven't tried to visit the site through tor, just firefox, chrome and internet explorer
>>325209mmhJust for testing - can you add "148.251.70.194 thepandacoin.net" to your hosts file and try loading the site again?
>>324506 I like how no one here talks about doge anymore. Should I hold on to my ~50,000 doge?
>>325215If there's no talk about doge then feel free to do so instead of complaining.
>>325215Yes.
>>325215theres no talk about doge here for now because a lot is happening with PND, and it will remain this way for atleast a couple of weeksbut we do still talk about doge>Should I hold on to my ~50,000 doge?you could sell half to buy PND and then resell back to get back DOge later?this way you will can profit from both coins, whilst keeping some of both
>>325215I'm holding 120k DOGE in reserve but I don't think there's a future for it any longer because the community is retarded and the developers are naive children that hate money.
Why are their 2 facebook pages for PND?
>>325223Because one is dead and the other one is maintained which also complies with the consistent branding.
>>325224why not remove the old one?
>>325225Because I don't have control over it and the previous owner seems to be absent and or not responding to requests.

Is there any coin with support built into the network to "refund" invalid transactions? Like if you sent to a wallet that has been deleted? I'm pretty sure it's actually impossible, but just curious.
>>325235there is doge that will create coins forever so 1 doge = 1 doge = infinite doges = no value whatsoever
>>325231I see. Might be a good idea to attempt and try.If anyone wants to help: /pandacoin>>325235>that has been deletedNot possible to detect that as a wallet only acts as a key to the amounts of coins you're owning on the public ledger named blockchain. The wallet doesn't actually "store" the coins and neither would you be able to tell if the wallet has been actually deleted or just copied.
>>325239>If anyone wants to help: /pandacoinTo clarify - /pandacoin is the old site - /PandacoinPND is the new one.

Hi, I sold 451k of pnd and stopped mining like a month ago and now I want to kill myself
>>325129I like the goals and the short description you just made, but as the other anon I also feel that that current draft is too long/sounds awkwardly serious, for me at least less formaility and being shorter would make it more appealing, if I didnt already know anything about PND I would feel more honesty from something simpler and friendly
