>>318394Nobody knew (i still don't know) if removing that first block is even possible. There is a problem with this particular case, as AC is a direct competitor to PND for the asian market. Turns out that if I had never patched that wallet for PANDA we wouldn't have the type of consistent PR we have now. This is an odd turn of events.

>>319170>*no PND is not unique doing this type inflation. With PoS I assume. Thinking about it, it seems like this type of inflation works best for PoS since it doesn't punish people for not mining, but still keeps the available coin supply somewhat constant (replacing lost, missing coins).
>>319173received :^)>>319180Yes.
How high do you guys think PND will reach?
>>319232Yes.
>>3192325 sat, unless something crazy happens like the Chinese housing bubble collapse causing people to go insane investing in altcoins.
>>319232High as this guys
>>319232Each PND will have the price of 0.1337 DOGE in the exchanges exactly 77 days from now.
Have you guys read about ripple yet?I think we're all in some trouble. What if all banks just start using ripple for transactions? Then all the alt coins and maybe even bitcoin will become useless. Only useful for the whole decentralized no gubmint thing.im scared ;_;
>>319136
>>319251Wait, what about ripple? Also why did the 1 dash update got deleted? The post for the monashill are most off-topic and advertising than that.
>>319269Read this>>319153
>>319251>>319275Stuff like this is why I feel PND should go fully anonymous like Anoncoin is doing. Because there is no way a corporate/government backed digital currency will ever adopt those features, and so the coins will still have this as a valuable feature.
>>319275Damn you Ripple!
>>319290I support this, but as someone else already mentioned a simpler option to start with would probably be implementing Darksend (after it is actually open source, will happen soon)
>>319299https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=467857.0>Darksend uses a pool of transactionsIs this like a coin mixer (laundering software)?Because then it is not really anonymous since you can analyze changes in wallet balances. But maybe something like zerocoin is impossible with PoS, I don't know enough about this stuff (time to research!).
Bye.
>>319318Sweet dreams.
>>319318Bonne nuit.
will directly mining PND fror these 15 days yield more PNDs as opposed to mining from the multipool
>What will the maximum number of Pandacoins (PND) be?>Not fixed nor limited when we switch over to PoS. The 100,000,000,000 Pandacoin (PND) coin cap from PoW stage would no longer be relevant since we are switching to PoS.So the network will produce more than 100 billion coins?
>>31923221 million btc per pnd.
>>319476Hypothetically yes. But if you do the maths with the 2.5% nominal interest rate at the new 32 billion coin cap, it takes 10 years for PND to hit 41 billion coins. It takes 47 years before it hits over 100 billion coins. I think it's designed to work similar to fiat currency to deal with inflation with the 2.5% rate
>>319476see >>319136
>>319487thats where the point is from, its not elaborated much upon there>>319486 explains it well though
>>319232i honestly think it will reach 10 satoshi, simply due to the hashrate of direct miners will get added to the multipoolits enough to get us back to our former glory of 10 satoshis
>>319232Anyone's guess really. The dev team recently took on a Chinese person living in China to market it there. If the Chinese are hungry for crypto, which they are (see fiatleak.com) even though on an official front they are trying to ban it, the price of PND is anyone's guess. With the talks of maybe adding Darksend to PND to help adoption to counter that great-chinese-firewall, we're moving in the right direction imo. Someone in the bitcointhread gave a summary of why the Chinese are ready for crypto, copypasta -"re: chinese thinking twice with dealing with crypto, this is the situation in china. government on official front is putting a stop to it, however look at fiatleak.com and you see that china is buying btc rapidly still.why? with growing wealth of chinese bourgeois class, many are starting to be aware of impending economic recession in china. tell tale signs inc:-chinse gov manipulation of yuan. 12% gdp growth is bs 10 years in a row-chinese real estate bubble similar to u.s americans situation in 2007china now is simiar to u.s situation in 2008 with potential fiat problem. i feel china is ready to adopt crypto to deal with yuan crashing, thats why i buy some pnd pandacoin."
>>319514>Darksendelaborate
>>319517http://darkcoin.io/downloads/DarkSendDocumentation.pdfExcerpt from Darkcoin thread - "But that's not the good part. Evan Duffield, our developer, has created an anonymous wallet. Not with a mixing service or TOR no, this is called DarkSend and it hides the address FROM THE WALLET. The blockchain will not contain your wallet address but a throw-away address that is untraceable. Even the coins are difficult to follow, using an implementation of coinjoin. It's a simple yet effective solution. Simplicity = much harder to crack. As Einstein said, the solution should be as simple as possible but no simpler""
>>319519doesnt PND already hide the address of the sender?
>>319519>>319521As I have said before >>319314unless the blockchain is encrypted ala something like zerocoin, anonymity is thwarted via careful analysis of wallet balances. You would have to use multiple wallets to avoid this, which would be a pain.
>>319526>You would have to use multiple wallets to avoid this, which would be a pain.i see
Speak of the devil, PND-chinese just posted a chinese version of the pos annoucement in the thread - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.msg6568110#msg6568110Interesting if we get more Chinese onboard this train
>>319526What solution would be good to get total anonymity then? I guess Darksend could be a step forward in the right direction
>>319526how would you know wallet balances without knowing the addresses?
>>319542I dunno, zerocoin apparently allows this I believe.
>>318213whats going on guys!? you give advice to mine, recommend a good graphics card. I'm averaging 260kh/s and I'm receiving payouts of $0.01 ?I'm mining in the PND/DOGE multipool
>>319547>whats going on guys!?PND will go fully POS in approx. 15 days
>>319549So I should start mining PND exclusively?
>>319547i actually don't know, i've had the same question but never really asked.I'm assuming you mean the multipool shows you having a much lower hashrate than your miner shows.
>>319552i believe that would be the most profitable course of action because directly mining PND will end in 15 daysSo all the hashrate in the official pools and solo mining will be directed towards the multipool instantly increasing PND buying and hence its value
>>319019Thanks, I'll check it out.
>>319514>>319517>>319519>>319521>>319526Guys I HIGHLY advice having this conversation in the offical thread. So that we have any sort of permanence of this.https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.380This is of extreme interest if we are to ship PND in Asia/China, where there is currently a crackdown on cryptos. Coinmixing (or anything) for anonymous balances, and Tor for hiding the fact that you even run a wallet. It's even more critical with PoS, as you need to have it always open.Think about it this was: if the US govt. was to ban cryptos, how would I hide from the NSA? Be practical about this!(I can't read through the links becaus I'm at work now, and this is one of the reasons that this conversation need to be less transient)
how long should a worker password be?
>>319596The worker passwords don't matter, as somebody knowing your password con only mine more coins for YOU.On the pnd/doge multipool, the password should be used as a username for statistics.
>>319594Agreed we should take it to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.380 due to permanence of the discussion and bumping the thread to the top for maximum exposure. Do it to build hype for PoS
>>319554No the multipool shows the same hash rate if not a little higher. I really don't get why the payout is so low based on the hype and recommendations made for people to invest in mining equipment.
>>319610How much was the payout for 24h?
>>319610The time to invest in mining was November last year. Right now it's a terrible idea with the scrypt ASICs. Back then you could easily make 0.01 BTC/MHs/day. Now it's maybe 0.0035 which means effectively $0.45/day at 260 kH/s

>>319646donated for the first time using any cryptocurrencyfeels gudis this posteed on the bct thread?
>>319666Why are these threads advocating mining, giving advice to invest $400 in equipment and then it turns out to be BS and the payouts are 0.1% ROI.I take responsibility for making those purchases. But fuck me guys, why are you hyping it like that
>>319665>So are there any options or do I just quit mining?try switching to mining PND, in 15 days you will not be able o mine it anymore and the value is gonna go up cause it will be fully POS
>>319671>payouts>ROIYou got the essence of crpytos wrong. There is no instant or hidden bonus you will be receiving simply by mining it right now. It's about building up and thinking forward.
>>319669Yeah it is there, we should try to have a bit of a presence over at the bitcointalk thread to bump it up to first page for more exposure and converting more pandashttps://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=568529.580
>>319671If you're playing it too safe you don't have much of a chance of a timely ROI. You have to mine the right coin and hold, then sell at the right time, otherwise you won't be getting anything past $1-$2/MHash/day in this market. Mining PND when it was at 8-10 satoshi was incredibly profitable in retrospect and it's probably going to go up further, so I'm still mining at the multipool.
>>319646>http://pnd4pnd.com/Woah! That is awesome... I think I'll donate to Chengdu.

>>319684>>319685That's what I did too.I thought that maybe wwf would be great publicity (because it's universally known), but hey. There's a bug with 1# and the BitcoinTalk Panel will leak memory. >>319708Mm you're right, WWF might be good aswell regarding publicity. The PND4PND charity has to be noticed, can we notify Coindesk or some other coin news site?
>>319716Good thing you can donate to both (or all four of them xD)
>>319718Weeeeee
>>319646You know these charities don't do jack shit except lower the price of the crypto when they're exchanged for fiat, right?
how much is doge coin worth now?
>>319759https://bitcoinwisdom.com/markets/cryptsy/dogebtc
>>319760oh.I only have like a 1000 from when they first came out
Instead of converting to fiat, can we maybe get in touch with the charities, help them setup and pnd wallet, so donations to pnd4pnd will go directly to the charity, and then it's up them if they want to exchange for fiat.I feel that's more productive for the growth of PND, and who knows, maybe some charities will decide to hold some pnd for the long run as an investment, and if that pays off, the PND community will be getting way more press in the future than a one time cash donation.
>>319771Good idea.
anyone wanwan serious sam complete or fallout 3 goty (steam of course) for PND?
>>319752good thing we have a multipool then
>>319771idk charities are always in need of money , i doubt any charity would hold any amount of cryptoits too risky for them to risk money they have at hand
Any value PND might "lose" from a charity exchanging, will be made up for twice by the publicity made on it. Maybe.
