The more I read the less likely it is him. Bitcoin core was released on c++ on windows and he was unix. Never coded in c++. His wife also denies it totally. His friends from the time think he probably didn't too, or if he did, it was part of a group. He was also a huge privacy advocate, and clearly BTC is so public. So I doubt it was him.
