Do people actually find crypto fun?

I don't mind. I don't get what makes you so special for enjoying this shit though. I hate it. I just want to make it, but off grid land, and never take part in any of this or society in general beyond buying supplies every now and then.

That and the whole digging for information thing.

Was me. I did this in 2018, bought several acres in the foothills. You will realize that you want a village that lives off grid, not just a single family. You'll want a school house, pub, community center, other guys to talk about crop yields, etc. It gets lonely and I have kids.

Not really feasible today, but you gotta make do with what you got.

I rent an office in town where I can use stable internet. I make ~$300k/yr as a software engineering exec and invest in crypto

And yes, I think crypto is VERY fun but I'm in the weeds on technical aspects. Plus I'm investing a meaningful amount for me to feel part of it.

Are you a genius? Did you have amazing grades when you graduated? Had you developed software that could turn water to gold? Did you get into this position climbing the ladder? Did you get it through connections? - I'm not meaning to pry .. I ask because as a Europoor nobody from one side of europe to even ex-europe (UK) makes that kind of money as a *salary* in that line of work or in many others.. Some private business owners.. yes.. Bank ceo's that kind of thing maybe ... but truthfully the 1%.. I'm just so curious.

at this point i am more worried that i am going to miss it
its that special feeling of excitement every morning you refresh your folio those several seconds that slow ass app needs and wondering will there have been a pump or a dump and the heavy emotions accompanying both
i am not dumb after i make it i will diversify into less risky assets both i do think i will miss that particular feeling of knowing you are risking it all on a speculative moonshot when you are already at levels you will never regain from a lifetime of waging

>Blows my mind that anyone would even bother with this shit once they hit high 6 figs.
high 6 figs only sets you free for a few years. the average bizlet who spends hours every day to read the market and become familiar with the shitcoins of the year (or the month) should rightly take full advantage of that effort and maximize returns while they still can. this market moves so fast that taking a break for 2 years and coming back would require learning everything again. also there is no guarantee there will be another bull run in a highly unregulated market. governments are coming and they will destroy crypto gains in the near future.
tl;dr you are a faggot

I started my career as a lowly software dev at an enterprise tech company out of a top 250 ranked school, so nothing special.

The company was growing fast. I worked hard impressed the right people and pioneered a new team. Company exited, it made billions. I didn't make much but was good on my resume.

My understanding of enterprise tech allowed me to start a company on the side, still with day job. That endeavor was in some news feeds and so I had some startups reaching out to me to run a team after that.

Appreciate the explanation. Makes bit more sense now. It all depends I suppose what field you are in how it goes. I'm no in tech at all, in my late 30's without going into my whole life story I saw the rat race for what it was when I was very young.. Started my own business at 17 , travel insudtry.. have had a few here and there from then till now with varying levels of extreme rollercoastering etc etc happy with all of it even the horrible down periods because I've never been a slave to anyone which for me is the most important thing. Even in my best year of business I never clocked that kind of cash though. fair play to you anon. Hope all continues well for you.

6 figure hell here. I love trading crypto, dopamine addiction really. And I'm good at it. Why would I stop short of 7figs? Realistically I wouldn't stop at 10 figures.

>> No.30438979

I get tired of weeding through all the different shitcoins, trying to figure out what will actually make me some fucking money. So I just parked 10k in btc and some random other coins on coinbase and have been sitting on it. So far that has beat out my traditional ETF holds by about 2x, believe it or not. But no I do not have the sperg powerlevel to research all the different technologies and shitcoins and moons, etc etc.

You can move tons of places in Mexico and Central America where there are tons of ex pats. You only need 2,000/month in these places.
