Can someone explain why GUSH's past price is so crazy high? I understand they've done stock splits, but isn't that factored in the chart? And it's not like the total ETF value changes when stock splits. I'm assuming it has something to do with leveraged decay being back calculated? Or is it simply that GUSH was worth say 1k and got splitted by 10 to $100 and the chart doesn't factor that in?

Unless you're a day trader or a swing trader who swings in 2 weeks or less profitability not fomoing or panic selling, what exactly are you doing and are you actually making money? I trade futures. First, if you don't have an edge you can articulate and iron discipline to execute it you will lose all your money. That said I use Amp Futures as a broker, they have some of the lowest fees and account minimums in the business. I've never had a problem with them going down or jerking me around in any way.
Assuming you will be trading index futures, maybe start with the Micro Russell 2000. It has the lowest notional value at $11035 per contract so if the market turns against you you'll have a lot more breathing room than with something like the Micro Nasdaq which has a notional value of $25,254 as of this moment. Also, the Russell is much less volatile than the Nasdaq.
The advantages of futures is better tax treatment, better liquidity (tighter spreads), 23/5 trading, much easier shorting, and huge leverage if you really hate your money that bad.
Good luck

depends but yes. I constantly reevaluate my strategy and question if I should hold any of my 17 stocks, or maybe sell some and get some other. I often dump some stocks that I think have the worse short term potential to FOMO into stocks with better potential. I actually usually kick myself for not dumping stocks even quicker, because quite often when a stock starts underperforming the rest by a lot it's not gonna stop soon, so waiting makes it worse.

Just a reminder that YCC is the equivalent of the Fed saying: "yes we know inflation is coming, no you're still not allowed to have a real rate of return"

They've gotten out of this debt jam before, and it took negative real rates via inflation and this is the play again. Yields are rising with inflation expectation because nobody wants to have negative return. YCC forces bonds into deeply negative return, the fed and those legally obliged will be the only buyers. Inflation will come with congress's help, everything they are doing is designed to stoke it.

Commodities are going to fucking explode and I hope you guys get that. If you ain't figured this out by now IDK what the fuck more to tell you. The market is pretty dumb and still hasn't gotten it through their dumb boomer skulls. That isn't gonna last much longer though.

Oddly enough, there are these super leftist memes that the businesses themselves put out. They count all the dollars that come in, then they round them off at the thousands, and place those numbers on a big grid. The meme part is knowing which sections of the grid (most often when combined, and then combined with knowledge you have of the company and market) matter to what you think makes the business valuable. It's very advanced meming, but well worth the effort.

Also, everyone should probably stay out of RILY, they probably already hit their peak price for this Ex-Div run-up, have since dropped 10%, and they are dropping a 6% dividend on Tuesday at current price.

Commodity producers are the play usually. Picking single companies is tough if you don't know the sector, some are shit, so ETFs help hedge that risk.

Which commodities you pick is not always straight forwards, with stagflation, industrial commodities may benefit less. Energy, Food, Water will probably still decent in that scenario, as they have somewhat less elastic demand. PMs should do OK with any inflation. Study what did well in past times. Some industrials may benefit from govt help even in stagflation.

Lots of variables. I like the shotgun approach, I buy producer ETFs like:

COPX
URNM
PHO
SIL
GDX
LIT
