I think you have a good point, I know me and my friends still prefer to go out for drinks and spend the night out just to hang out with each other but my sister who's a good bit younger seems to spend most of her time chatting with her friends online, I know I do the same to an extent but most of the people I know are from around the world and I'd still prefer to actually be around them than just talking to faceless voices
I think it's something you come to appreciate with age, though even having grown up in the generation that popularized the concept of social media I generally avoided it.

People here don't really care what they post. Some do, certain things but there isn't as much bullshit as social media. Post body here and you'll either be fap material for gays or laughed at for being ugly and/or fat, there isn't much filter and no one really knows who you are. Don't get me wrong I use social media, mostly facebook because of my parents and siblings. I don't look much at the news that may be there and dont really post. I find with this place most people are here because they found a place that was different to other places on the internet.
