I was quite financially safe at the time i started putting money into crypto but since then I had to have unexpected surgery which set me back $4000 in bills which kind of fucked me over big time. At the time i could afford to lose money on coins, but today they're basically all i have in terms of $$ until i get my next p;aycheck

if you live in the US, you only have to make a reasonable attempt to pay medical billz. I had surgery and even after insurance it was like $2000, which i didn't have at the time.
They would send me a bill for $2000, and i'd send a check for $50. the next month the bill would be $1950. I did this for about two years (i was in college) until I graduated and got a job.
