Reset your metamask after switching networks, at settings/advanced/reset account and also make sure that you set your gas price at 470gwei. It's metamask passing a fake nonce value. Avax transactions always take only a few seconds when sent correctly.

>How I can mint AVAX?
You just need to introduce lag between validators. If you manage to get the minting function stuck for long enough during a concurrency event you'll get a multiple of your tx input.
The highest multiplier bonus we know of so far has been 7x, but that was accidental.. I bet you can get up to 1000x if you put your mind into it.

>> No.30397918

>>30397765
it enables sub-second finality, which is an important capability

BTC is not a viable payment currency because it takes 1 hour to confirm a transaction. DOT? ADA? HBAR? they've all brought it down, but not to a level that consumers would find acceptable.

This is also true for DeFi applications

>> No.30397936

So in other words, anyone can make a script to make those cross chain transfers all day... And hope for them to double mint the transaction?

>> No.30398094

>>30397936
Lol no the reason it stalled was that a non-deterministic bug (some function dividing by zero in one unlikely parameter case) caused a block to be classed as valid when it wasn't. They've fixed that non-deterministic bug so if you want to stall the network you'll have to find another way.

>> No.30398168

>>30398094
Ok so if the network does stall, all I need to do is cross-chain transfers to get the bonus minting?

>> No.30398342

>>30398168
No they fixed that bug, you won't get it to happen with cross chain transfers anymore.

>> No.30398509

>>30397765
Yeah the fact it coupled it with extremely high throughput while being the most decentralized network on the planet (By design, In reality it's only third to BTC/ETH but i'm sure that's temporary) make us insanely bullish on it, on top of that AVAX is absurdly undervalued so there's nothing not to like.

>> No.30398632

>>30398342
Why is my money also stuck in cross chain? What the fuck are the devs doing with this wallet? Where can I see this transaction, since it doesn't show up on the scan? Seriously, it's so confusing.
How are they thinking this will work on normies later on?

>> No.30398653

>>30398168
If a similar bug does occur but successfully next time (Impossible because the second you realize it consciously the system will identify the problem and halt the chain thus prevent minting from progressing) but if somebody does find a way to mint millions the chains will just soft-fork and your coins will be worthless (You won't even be able to send your minted coins to exchange because the network halt itself lol).. Similar thing happened with BTC multiple times and many other coins.

>> No.30398755

>>30398632
UI need some work for sure, AVAX is currently only high IQ network lmao (Or at least in comparison to the average normie crypto user). First let them get all the fundamental features out (Dynamic fees, Subnets, Pruning etc, Most should come in the nearest update) and only then improve the interface.

>> No.30398924

Sure you have the right token contract in metamask?
Search your wallet's public ID here, and you will see its true balances: https://cchain.explorer.avax.network/

If it shows on the explorer but not on metamask, you have the wrong token contract address in metamask. Use the one you can find for that token on the c-chain explorer.

If you expect a project to be perfect after 8 months have fun fomoing in once coders have had the time ro refresh the ui and build more wallet extensions.

Double mint. And yeah i do. Both eth and btc had far worse mint/spenf bugs and survived. (After forking to reverse the damage) The reason they prevail is their decentralisation, and the community that created.

Team says the bug is fixed. So sure, if the exact same bug happens again i'll reconsider my trust in them, but this is software we're talking about. It always has bugs and when they happen, you can determine the reason and fix them. Not rocket science.
