The last time an 85 gwei transaction was confirmed was about 30 minutes ago. It's entirely possible it will go back down just as quickly so that the transaction will confirm very soon, and it's also possible that we will suddenly enter a congestion for weeks. The estimated duration is close to useless, it's just guessing, and the actual time comes down to luck.

Actually Ethereum was created to enable smart contracts, no one claimed the v1.0 would "solve" fees and slowness, it's barely higher capacity than bitcoin. ETH2.0 will likely solve it, though.
