Quick information post for any RBC holders who are just checking things for the first time today. The limit order "feature" that was "released" yesterday doesn't work/isn't real. For over 24 hours I have offered a 1 ETH bounty to anyone who can link just ONE successful automatically executed limit order through rubic, there hasn't been a single one, several anons have posted they have orders that should have executed but haven't.

This will read as typical fake FUD but it should be trivial to disprove if I'm lying.

Again, for the 10th time, the two posts in the original thread with the bounty were not filled by limit order, they were filled from the order book, they COULD NOT have been filled by a limit order as they were both less than the fee the rubic platform takes.

So you've linked another post saying I'm wrong but still haven't linked a single filled limit order that would prove that?
To any none shill RBC holders I think at this point it should be incredibly obvious that the team just "released" limit orders and relied on the fact no-one uses their platform to get away with them not actually working. It's been over 24 hours since this "feature" went live and no-one, in any thread, can provide evidence of even ONE order that has been automatically filled. My offer still stands by the way, just so everyone reading also knows there is a strong incentive for rubic holders to prove me wrong.

I have to admit the fud in the other thread about limit orders not working is scaring the shit out of me. And what the fuck is this about a 0.15 ETH platform fee? Who the fuck is going to pay 0.15 ETH to trade?

>> No.30362261

because they take fees out of the transaction

Could you expand on this? AFAIK it's a matter of orders X RBC vs Y ETH matcing on Uni and then the contract executes, with the platform reward being taken at that time?

Also, could you link a couple orders that should have executed as you said?

>> No.30362305

>>30362008
The fee to interact with the smart contract to place an order on the rubic platform is 0.015 ETH. The "platform fee" of 0.15 ETH is taken out of trade value, according to the Rubic FAQ. Say I want to trade 1 ETH for 1000 RBC, this would execute when 0.85 ETH = 1000 RBC, and the platform fee is taken that way.
This is how they claim it should work, the reality is there has still not been one successful limit order since the feature was "released", even orders that should have executed have not.

The fee isn't taken from your wallet when it should execute, it's part of the conditions of the transaction and the transaction will only execute when they can take the fee AND meet the conditions of your trade, explained in the post above.

>> No.30363174

I see what you're saying now about how the platform reward works in the contract - they should probably explain that a bit better (but maybe I'm just retarded)

I remember the morning as if it was yesterday. It was still dark and we were storming Moon Beach with rubichads storming in full force without fear. We had our orders and that was to siege matic bunkers at all costs. We had covered 80% of the beach, but had lost forces down to estimated 60%. Then in a split second our lives changed forever... We look up to the Indian matic bunkers ahead and something seemed off I tell you. The next thing we knew, an explosion went off 20 yards at our 10 o'clock. We paused for a moment as these unfamiliar polygon emblems soared from what I recognized to be Consolidated-Vultee B-24 indian air force Liberators. We saw the bombs dropping all around us... we couldn't react... the sound was terrifying... You couldn't hear the typical whistle sound of certain death. Instead... We heard something much worse.... BUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. In mere seconds we were at 60% frontrunner coverage down to 25%. Rubichads scattered... We were no longer unified. We were forced to retreat back to our commanding officer vlad who was just as shaken and at a loss of words. Back on the dexboats, the phone rang and commander vlad answered. His face went pale.... He hung up. "What is it Vlad?".... He only looked at us with horror in his eyes.... "It was Putin. Pajeets are shitting through the streets of Mother Russia. They've secured Alexandria... Niggers are surrounding her doors as we speak..."

* The conditions for a limit order to be automatically filled are:
The trade rate from the order book is the same as the market rate, including gas fee + platform reward (that is now 0.15 ETH, this will change over time).
* Trade is not expired.

It's obviously not going to be an exact value, you fucking idiot, but its going to execute when it's equal to the market price.

>> No.30369055

>>30368899
It either has to execute when it's perfectly equal, or execute when it can fill the condition of the order, unless you're proposing that despite the devs, FAQ or any poster not saying so until literally right now it will only execute within some currently unknown percentage of the rate you set?
The limit order feature does not work.
The devs outright lied about releasing it.

The rubic team said limit orders would be ready last week.
On the day they were meant to be released they said they were live on "testing" servers and would be released the next day
The next day they said they would be delayed for a week
A week later the feature is "released"
Since this "release" not a SINGLE order has been automatically executed, there have been several orders that by any none delusional interpretation of how a limit order should work absolutely should have filled and haven't been.
The dev team lied about the release and hoped that no-one would notice because no-one uses their platform and the fees on the orders high and the volume limit is low.
If you don't see how incredibly fucking shitty this all is and continue to shill for this project I truly don't know what to tell you.

The order cannot execute because the limit orders execute through Uniswap's AMM solution, AMM's use constant product formula to determine the price of an asset. It's not like CEX for limit orders.

The FAQ is useless, there is mass confusion about how basic features are meant to work, the UI is still awful and insanely buggy, let alone the actual features (no user should EVER be prompted for $2k gas fees).

I've put my money where my mouth is numerous times over the past few threads, I've never shilled any other

Yes, still the goal.
If you place an order like I'm buying Rubic with a price of 0.5 ETH per 1 RBC this order will be executed when AMM tells the price is right through constant product formula (basically a balance of RBC/stable coin LP).
You can place a limit order to some CEX where you want to buy let's say 1ETH for 20k USDT when 1 ETH is worth 2k on CMC or Coingecko.
The order will be instantly executed only if somebody is selling 1 ETH per 20k USDT. Instant execution doesn't probably happen but soon enough somebody notices the high price difference and fills it.

If you place an order on a CEX for 1eth at 20k usdt then it would be automatically filled at the lowest price that it is closest to 20k usdt which in your case is 2k usdt, essentially it would be the same as a market order. So what you say here:

seriously though, on the FAQ itself it says that it will execute when it's the same as the current market price. in order to prove/ disprove that functionality you would have to create a limit order that reflects the intended functionality.

there is no usecase in using a limit order to fuck yourself over buy swapping 0.18 eth for 1 rbc when you could get far more using instant trades - whereas with the functionality above, it operates as a stop loss.

But here's something that logically makes sense to me: if the feature was fake, and they could fake it at any time, why delay the release? To be more convincing? That makes no sense considering that if the rubic team wants to scam us, delays go against that because they dump price and damage morale plus dissuade potential buyers. They'd have no reason not to delay again if it didn't work, and they've had to previously delay other features too, why would they suddenly start bullshitting? The project leader Vlad has even said he won't be listing the project until the site has the degree of capability he wants. Clearly this is a man who doesn't care about the price as much as he cares about making a working product. Look at MyWish, his other coin. Still worked on, 2 years after it crashed down to almost zero thanks to the alt crash of 2018. So, is it correct what I thought?:

Rubic liquidates these "limit orders" using its own liquidity pool.
These are not totally true limit orders. It's more like a stop orders that Rubic can liquidate itself, though I am not sure about conditions:
Uniswap price won't be exact same as your, due to obvious reason - slippage. So, how and at what price Rubic will execute these "stop orders"?
The basic algorithm here is when the price at uniswap will be exact and higher (or lower). Rubic executes limit orders using their own funds (even if Uniswap price gets higher and in CEX you'll get partially filled limit order)?

It's untrasparent about this.

Like I said earlier in the thread, there are transactions that have been *very* close and still haven't filled. The market will almost NEVER match the trade you have stipulated exactly, if it works like that then the feature is 100% useless, if it doesn't work like that then how does it work? Logically "filling the order if it can" makes the most sense but my trade proved that isn't the case, so now you're claiming it will execute within some arbitrary amount of closeness to the market price but no-one has any clue what that amount is. The goalposts keep moving.
Consider that when any trade is made the AMM instantly updates the market price to the new value, skipping all in between, there is literally no chance the "exact match" price will ever be filled.

>>30375504
I've also covered every possible interpretation of how the system works. I'll do it again though.

1) Orders execute only if the trade *exactly* matches the market rate.
If this is the case the feature is useless because your trade rate will almost never match the market rate exactly.

2) Orders execute when they are able to
This can not be the case as my order earlier that didn't fill should have filled

3) Orders execute when your trade rate is within some currently unknown arbitrary range of the market rate.
This is the current cope, despite there being orders placed that have been incredibly close to the market rate that still didn't execute.

Again, all it takes to prove this feature exists is a single order that was autofilled, and still no posts.

Since the "feature" was released not a single order had been autofilled against liquidity from a dex, orders have been manually traded against but that's a normal order book and has existed for months
I posted proof of a order that was 100% fillable not being autofilled
I posted links to other orders that were fillable at market rate that were not autofilled
There is zero evidence the feature exists and a preponderance of evidence the dev team outright lied about releasing it and hoped no-one noticed because no-one actually uses their platform and the fees are high enough you have to actively burn money to have a limit order execute according to their stipulations

I'm turning bullish right now. Something tells me this is not as big of a deal as I think it is. Its just beta testing and there's only a 3 ETH volume limit on trades. Obviously its not going to be perfect.

I have proven what I have said is true. It doesn't really matter to me if it's incompetence or malice, it doesn't change that right now the limit order feature they said was released on Friday isn't real. Again, I don't hold any rubic, I just want to inform biz friends

You keep saying this, and I do respect your opinion, but it is unsubstantiated. Your argument has a lot of holes. And you're certainly taking advantage of the high fees for the orders making them relatively inaccessible to the average bizraeli while liquidity is low to spread FUD.
>>30379254
It really isn't that big of a deal, I'm glad you're starting to realize this. When we get into real alt season, regardless of what Rubic has, it will pump hard as fuck. Might as well wait until then to sell so you can at least make a 2x or more off your initial.

I think they can still come back from this. As long as they work on cleaning the whole thing up. The end result should be an orderbook resembling the major CEXes.

380k stack... I accepted awhile back that the pump to $1 isn't going to happen until a CEX listing or a UI rework, but those will probably happen around the same time if we're being honest. I'm comfy either way, not selling a single cube.

It is likely a range of the market price where it would execute. You can not say that you have proved it not to be there by simply using it incorrectly, there's no way it has to exactly match the price. Regardless of what YOU believe the feature to be, as according to the FAQ (where it states it must match market price), your initial test is completely worthless as it does not match the functionality highlighted by the platform itself, so stop fucking using it as an example

I've been in crypto since 2013, and its always a mess. You just have to decide if you have faith in the team or not. Deadlines will be missed, mistakes will be made, hacks will happen, key people will quit etc.

If you can't tolerate that level of risk (maybe you're all in), then reduce your exposure or buy something else which you have more faith in.

I hold a lot of RBC and I'm not selling.

To put it plainly:
"A limit order is an order to buy or sell a stock at a specific price or better. A buy limit order can only be executed at the limit price or lower, and a sell limit order can only be executed at the limit price or higher. A limit order is not guaranteed to execute."
It probably wasn't designed for people to overpay because it's a limit order system, buy limit orders are executed at purchase price or lower
If you're setting a buy limit order for 0.01 ETH in exchange for 1 RBC, that's immense overbuying, why would any system allow that? It hurts the consumer.

These guys are giving you excellent advice. If you're feeling down, evaluate your faith in rubic, and then take a break. Get off telegram, 4chan, whatever, just do something else for a bit. Make peace with how things are and let it ride. It's a lot easier to do when you have less in.

Okay, I'm really about to sleep now.
Anyone uncertain feel free to reread my posts, don't let shills convince you of some convoluted system that they think exists.

Why is it after nearly two days of this "feature" being released has there not been a single limit order automatically filled. This is the only question you need. If anyone tried to convince you limit orders are real, ask them to post just ONE transaction proving it, they won't be able to. Goodnight biz, I genuinely hope I helped some anons tonight

If this fud turns out to be real I will gladly switch sides, but I really don't see it that way. I think you're just either innocently misled, or genuinely trying to fud the project and shill unidex. Either way, when someone comes like paul revere shouting "scam! scam!" in a project like this, I usually take it with a pretty big grain of salt. And this one seems just like any other fud involving rubic: unsubstantiated rumors soon to be resolved.

No problem friend, I had never played IV before, but having played it I really see why everyone thinks that. So much more depth, realism, and lifelike aspects that can't be found in V. Early morning garbage trucks, stopped cars on the side of the road, cops wearing raincoats and hats in the rain + people running around instead of walking, takes multiple bullets to kill someone, combat system is more realistic, car damage system is a little wonky but much more physically accurate, etc etc. It's a beautiful game, I hope GTA VI can replicate IV's magic.

It's not a retarded angle
You've spent the last few hours discussing this matter with not even once taking it to the apporpriate channel of the Rubic team
Be it Telegram, Email, rubic.exchange live chat messenger
Do you think that you could possibly be jumping to conclusions and catastrophizing based on the inquiry of another random anons doubt of a platform feature released on just Friday?
Mind you this other random anon who is the basis of your "shitting my pants in anxiety" never once reached out to the team
Once prompted for an explination gives an exuse of being autisitc and not wanting to speak directly. Whatever that means
Burner emails and accounts are a thing right. Communication would never be done in person and could be completely anonymoously
