30376814 No.30376814 [Reply] [Original]

I'm 25 and my net worth is about 70k, I feel like most people my age are millionaires. I'm too embarrassed to see my relatives or old classmates because I'm poor and not a millionaire at my age, would it be okay for me to see them if I had at least 300k? Or would they still think I was a loser?

Most 25 year olds are not swimming in debt. 1 in 4 has over 50 thousand dollars, 1 in 10 25 year olds has over 110,000 dollars of assets.

If you consider that this is brought down HEAVILY by women, the unemployed, nonwhites etc, if you're white and 25 you should have somewhere near a million dollars in net worth.

This is kind of a worthless statistic. I have like 5k+ in credit card debt every month. However, I pay it off every month. It doesn't mean I'm actually in debt. I never pay interest on it, and my net worth is around $2M. So, this statistic dosn't mean people are in debt. It really just means that people use credit cards to capture their expenses every month.

The sample group clearly indicates an average of 25-29 year olds. If you only sampled 25 year olds that amount is substantially smaller. Net worth is also a poor way of determining wealth as it includes illiquid assets that either don't substantiate real market value or would cost additional funds to make liquid. The real measure of tangible wealth is Land, precious metals, guns/ammo, crypto/stock, rare art, cash, in that order.

In my country (norway) the "requirement" for being a millionare (i.e owning a million of your countries currency) is ~9 times as easy as it is in the U.S. Most people over 40 are millionares here because they've paid down a large enough amount of their mortgage to have a net worth of a million NOK (Norske kroner)

Fucking pathetic I became a millionaire at 24 and 3/4 and I ended up spending a big chunk of it on therapy/hospitals because I attempted suicide.
I was so embarrassed that it took me that long to become a millionaire. I honestly don’t even know how you haven’t ended your life yet op I can’t inagine being 25 and not a millionaire yet

I don’t go out much, but that’s just what it seems like. Plus a lot of the data supports it, one in 10 25 year olds has at least 100k net worth (that they report), and considering a lot of younger guys are in crypto and that often doesn’t get reported, it’s somewhat reasonable. 1 in 100 has a reported net worth of 700k+

IF your goal is/ has been to /make it/ while you're young, then I'd say not being a millionaire at 30yo is pretty bad.

But if you plan on being a wagie for the rest of your life then your net worth isn't all that important. It's more important how much you make.
If a 27 medfag has a negative net woryh of $50k but will average $300k+/ year in the future, then he's doing pretty great.

Here’s a great article showing how bad the situation is if you’re NOT millionaire in 2021 (nobody is going to take you seriously):

> According to Spectrem Group’s Market Insights Report, in 2019, there were 9.8 million individuals with a net worth between $1 million and $5 million. There were 1.8 million individuals with net worth between $5 million and $25 million. Finally, 156,000 households (not individuals) had more than $25 million in net worth. In other words, there are roughly 11.8 million millionaires in America, making up roughly 3.5% of the population. This count is at a record high thanks to a long bull market in stocks, bonds, and real estate. I suspect the actual millionaire number is higher due to stealth wealth and plenty of unreported or underreported assets.

Pure fucking cope. Might as well compare yourself to Africans to feel better about yourself while you're at it.
Having $300k at 30 yo might be impressive when compared to an 80 IQ gorilla working at McDonald's. But it's not at all impressive if you compare it to what most 120+ IQ people who have focused on getting rich have at 30 yo.

I'd adjust the age along with the halvening date. for example, a 25 year old would have been in the work force for several years before the most recent btc halving, therefore would have had plenty of time to accumulate and shitcoin to an easy $1m from pre halving till now.
I made my first 2.3m at 25 following this strat but I'm not sure it's possible at this point in the cycle. Therefore I'd say 4 years from now after the next halving if you haven't already made it them you're doomed for good.

I'm from Australia. Literally everyone under 35 withdrew their superannuation money out as "emergency funds" during the start of COVID outbreak.

Luckily for me, I'm good at saving + didn't touch my super + still climbing the ladder of crypto gains.

There are people my age (27) that have maxed out credit cards, no savings, no super, and just enough money to buy food and live in their cars.

Shits fucked here. Especially with house pricing boom for the last 30 years.
