The thing preventing me from buying and using Bancor is the bank run scenario where a token for example Link pumps and people aware of the bank run risk would withdraw their Link and get compensated with BNT for their Impermanent loss. you'll also see that it's difficult to stake the token side because people just want to stake what they already own (link, eth, wbtc), and these token are arguably safer to hold than bnt. If you click on the stake button you can view how much space is available for that token to stake. There is currently no room to stake link, eth, or wbtc so you have to wait for someone add bnt to make space for your token. Bancor also adds new space in big chunks about once a week so you have to keep an eye on it.

Numbers could be refined with the input of all holders before it's put out as a formal proposal. You could be missing out on a lot of smart people by having all this discussion behind closed doors. If somebody doesn't understand impermanent loss and how Bancor protects against it, they really shouldn't be involved with large decisions like the BNT Vortex etc. They simply haven't taken the time to understand the protocol, and their opinion on complex topics is likely incomplete and will not contribute anything to the discussion.

Additionally, discussion does happen very often outside of this private group. The discord is an active hub with many people who contribute often but are not a part of this group.
I think it's beneficial to everyone to have a core community of dedicated Bancor enthusiasts that are always available and have weekly zoom meetings with the Bancor team.

In a way, without this group existing the Bancor core team would have *less* input from the community due to the sheer volume of garbage that is discussed in open forums.
The existence of this group and the authenticity of it (literally got invited just because i was in the public telegram saying things that were valuable) is a bridge between the actual Bancor team and the community

That's my perspective. At the end of the day there really isn't anything discussed in there that doesn't typically get leaked before it gets pushed to the public. I personally have been leaving crumbs for shit like 2.1, BNT Vortex, LM extension on large cap pools etc all over biz.
