How can you actually afford to invest what you cant afford to lose?

I consider every dollar I put into cryptocurrency lost the moment I spend it.

Even if I get into financial trouble, I wouldn't ever sell my crypto to pay it off. The money spent into crypto is there for a specific reason, it is there under the assumption that in 5-10 years or more, that it will dramatically pay off and give me a huge boost to my wealth.

I think anyone doing crypto, who would be willing to sell their crypto for some temporary financial issue, is not in this for the right reason or simply doesn't understand the purpose of crypto.

Only invest what you're WILLING to lose.
And if you're not willing to lose your life don't invest.

Mathematically it is impossible to retire at median income if you just save. It's impossible if you buy some boomer shit 7% a year etf. Pay debt as slowly as possible without incurring fee. Get 6 months living expenses in cash and convervt that to USDC and throw that in an interest account. Your checking account should have just a bit over your monthly expenses in it in fiat. Anytime it's 50% above that, the extra money should be mercilessly invested. Every spare goddamn dollar should be activated.

That's all. Every goddamn cent because fiat rots.

I hate this. First it implies you spend your gains which is a way to guarantee you never compound and never make shit. Second it implies the risk in holding any asset is 100%, which is not really true. Third it ignores that people are loss averse and thus if following this rule will always underexpose their positions and perform terribly. And the things normies invest in... the long term direction is up. Might as well go all in, versus not investing and holding cash, for which the long term direction is straight down to nothing.
