hyperinflation is the last thing jews want, because then all the goys will get out of debt very fast. so you can bet that it won't happen

>> No.30313137

as long as there is government fiat hyperinflation is possible.

>> No.30313295

economics is full of dumb assumptions anyway. like 2%-3% inflation is targeted by CBs only because it gives a small incentive for people to buy now rather than deferring it to the future. Like really? People buy washers, tvs or food when they need it not because of a 2%-3% price change.

Imagine being such a fucking Jew that you link genuine fears of hyperinflation to convoluted conspiracy theories. 20% of all money ever printed in the US was printed last year, and these motherfuckers are trying to pretend that hyperinflation is impossible. Goddamn I almost want the Fed to let this shit happen so they can die with me.

>> No.30313760

>>30312247
>but the Fed has ways to halt inflation of that sort from snowballing into hyperinflation
>The first step would be to stop buying long-term Treasuries and mortgage-backed securities, a move that would cause long-term interest rates to rise
>The second would be to push up short-term interest rates—a lot if necessary
The US economy hasnt recovered from the pandemic and the interest rates were already low prior to the virus, so wouldnt raising interest rate just gut everything and result in a recession?
I guess recession isnt hyperinflation but I cant imagine the feds wanting to do this.

The fact that they made this article at all is a massive signal that it is actually a distinct possibility

purposefully causing a recession to stop inflation already happened at the end of the 70s. nobody wants to be known as the fed chairman that caused the usd to collapse

Yeah but what could have been a recession under a normal economy might be more devastating in a damaged economy. Recession is better than a hyperinflation ofc but I dont know if the politicians or the feds want to take the risk right now.

Sadly, this. The USD is backed by the military, not oil or whatever else people are saying these days. If someone parks a carrier group off your shores and says "yeah there's a quadrillion of them but still, no, a toaster is 29.99" you better believe that toaster is going for 29.99. Consequently, if you don't see news of a massive world war going on, don't worry about hyperinflation.

I mean, as long as other countries don't ditch the dollar it will be a hyper meme, The reason they don't ditch the dollar is because they use mastercard and Visa which is based in America.

When chinks can come up with an alt to Mastercard thats when Americans should be kvetching about hyperinflation

otherwise

NOTHING
EVER
HAPPENS

desu it's in their best economic interests at this point. you accept physical delivery and sell on the physical market. Physical premiums are literally pricing out paper gold/silver.

that means absolutely nothing.

I'm not going to read the article, but we've already had hyperinflation here.

https://www.investopedia.com/articles/economics/09/1970s-great-inflation.asp#

Just because you're too young to have experienced it, don't say it can't happen here. My 82 year old dad who has seem more than any of us and is always the smartest guy in the room warns about it all the time.
