Everytime Binance goes into "upgrade" it's them tweaking their internal market making bots/algos.

They are switching over to bear/take profit mode tonight.

You've been warned.

This, except the complete opposite conclusion.

Unfortunately the sheer amount of threads constantly warning of some crypto crash or bear market that end up being wrong make it impossible to take this advice seriously.

I agree there are a lot, but 99.9% of those have no actual evidence of an event/trigger.

we've been under their bullish algos for 3 months now since the last upgrade. It propelled us to 58k, but there just isn't enough juice left. So we are switching to take profit.

There'd be absolutely no reason to bring the entire exchange down just to mess with bot algos though, it's exceedingly easy to compartmentalize the systems so you can fuck with the bots at will without any perceptible impact on the exchange itself. The benefits from doing so are so incredibly obvious and numerous that crypto conspirators would definitely 100% go down that path and just change the bots with no advance warning whatsoever.

To be fair, we're talking about Chinese programmers who compete with pajeets for the most retarded and impractical coding designs.

Not binance, it's that big. Their algos are literally built into their trading systems.

Why do you think projects have to provide coins for liquidity to binance before listing? Or why every second, of every minute, of every hour, of every day there is volume in the deadest shitcoins?

Read up on CZ's background, he spent most of his early career developing HFT algos for various exchanges including OKEX.

>After college, Zhao began working for the Tokyo Stock Exchange, developing software for matching trade orders. He also worked at Bloomberg Tradebook where he was a developer of futures trading software.[3]

>In 2005, he moved to Shanghai where he founded Fusion Systems,[4] known for "some of the fastest high-frequency trading systems for brokers."[3]

>Beginning in 2013, he worked for various cryptocurrency projects including Blockchain.info and also served as chief technology officer of OKCoin.[3]

Agree with the crash to 38K. This kills 100% of 3X longs who entered at the top. We've seen this so many times on the climb up. The fact that it's in slow enough motion that the interest is reaccumulating on the way down makes me think that there will be too much leverage dragging on the market for it to rebound. If it hit 38k in a week or two from ATH, sure. But it's going to take 4-6 weeks at this rate.

Binance being "that big" would just make baking the two together even more exponentially retarded, it'd increase the load on the trading engine something fierce and massively increase the risk of one part conking out the entire system. It's infinitely more efficient to just build a "priority lane" API with just that extra little bit of speed and hook up the bots in the same physical datacenter on separate hardware, that's more than enough advantage to run circles around the entire market while keeping the trading engine stable and healthy.
