Hey just a random idea but what do you think of an app that alerts you when Dogecoin has moved up/down by a set percentage?

Just a free non-profit effort of course. Curious to see if enough people would like it.

I think there is something like that for Bitcoin. Make yours minimal and simple and I'm sure at least some of us here will use it/tip for it.

Adding to that, it would be handy to have the ability to schedule auto buys and sells based on movement rather than market values. Say DOGE goes down 10% in a four hour period, it would be nice if some autobuys or autosells would fire off.

Block reward halves and profitability gets halved. Miners then switch to a more profitable coin. Mutlipools still hit DOGE regularly, but will be less likely to after the halving.

It's kind of like how before DOGE was pumped, all scrypt coin profitability was in lock step with litecoin. Now most scrypt coins follow DOGE coin profitability to some extent because it is the most profitable coin with stable volume. It is seen as the base level of expectation when mining.

there were a LOT of people. my guess would be 300 people?

i attend most of the SF crypto stuff, and this was a very different crowd. probably only 20% were the usual bitcoin cryptocurrency people. usually it's a sausagefest of autists and libertarians (i mean that endearingly), the gender ratio was like 80/20 which was really surprising.

there was free unlimited beer, it felt VERY well produced. I wouldn't be surprised if they spent thousands on beer alone. it was very well organized, people put a lot of work into it.

jackson palmer was pretty much mobbed all the time.

the costume contest was a FREAKSHOW. it quickly devolved into a weird dance party or something with this almost-naked dude with a speedo in the center. it felt like one of those cosplay parties if you've ever been to it, but much smaller and weirder. still entertaining.

the afterparty was at the W hotel, they got the entire fucking upper floor (fucking insane!), getting the space was cool, alcohol of course wasn't free. one beer was $10.

the Popcorn Time people were incidentally there because they were invited there by the wordpress crew (the office was at auttomatic, which own wordpress). they seemed amused by the whole thing.

guys, I'm downsizing.

I didn't mine in a long time and the 280x I have was too expensive to not be really used, so I want to sell it in the next days.

most of the software I have to use uses CUDA, hence I'm still using my GTX460 way more than the 280x.

now that nvidia fails to release the new GTX860 this year, I'm looking to bridge that time with the GTX750 TI (it uses only 60 watts, you could theoretical mine a bit with it at 300kh/s and it's a little faster than the 460).

tl;dr what 750 TI would you recommend? both of my "old" cards are MSI twinfrozrs and so I tend to buy the 750 as twinfrozr again

You cant expect us to be mind readers

you should have not remained silent when you you were facing a probllem

people are invested in a lot of coins, if you want them to invest any kind of resources in your coin then you have to make it attractive for them.

fair enough

>but I've seen and appreciated his dedication.

i am not necessarily questioning his dedication. All i was saying is a coin dev is the leader and the community cant lead itself if they dont know what to do without the leader because a lot of them are just newbies including me

Expecting the community to do something in the initial stage is kinda unfair on the community because each coin is not the same in many ways, they cant just do the same thing they did with other coins if they arent new to cryptos in the first place

>>302858
>I did moan about it, in great detail. Numerous times.

couldnt see many LeL threads, i think i missed a week of 4chan too

However i see neither Credits thread nor LEL threads, to me the coin looks dead because i dont see any interest for them here

And now i just read from your posts that you had given p due to heartbleed issue, so i dont know what to say or think about LEL

1dash.net is a website I'm working on, with crypto related data, in which *you* decide what data you want to see and how you want to see them. You can rearrange and resize your layout with drag&drop. Premium features will be PND only.

This is a UI/Usability update.
You can now view what features are being worked on in the features page. As you see in pic related, the next feature will be a Fiat Exchange. I'll try to have that for tomorrow.

I'm so fucking sick of this happening every week. especially when btc just recovered slightly.

Hello there /Biz/ness men and ladies, I'd like to get some info on Crypto currency. I've read up on it on the web but I still dont understand how people can place faith on a currency that has no physical form. I understand its like credit in the sense that its a virtual value, but there's that fact that there's this solid dollar coin that backs up a virtual dollar, but not Crypto currency, it has no physical body, I can't go to my bank and ask them for physical Dogecoins in exchange for my physical dollar, so how can I, or anyone else as a matter of fact, have trust into something that has no value outside the virtual realm

TL;DR: How can I trust Dogecoins as a currency?

>> No.303902

>>303887
No currency is backed by anything if you want to take it to its logical conclusion. The dollar used to represent a value of gold, but not anymore. You have to put faith in a government which controls the supply. The reason why zimbabwe dollars are worthless is because their government is incompetant and over produced it.

With cryptos, the rules are for the most part set in stone when it is created and you are putting your faith in a system run by machines rather than humans. DOGE will never be invaded casuing its value to plummet or get taken over by another country leading to it being replaced or be susceptible to an incompetent government. It simply exists and will continue to exist as long as there are computers to verify its existence and transactions.

Whether like it or not digital currency is the future. How many people are still paying with cash these days anyway? I'm not saying the defacto currency will be something which exists today, but digital currencies created by governments and other entities will certainly take cues from these early forms.

The only way to run the setup.exe for PND is to run it as administrator, but then it installs makes the file with the blockchain and wallet in the adminstrator account instead of using the one already in my user account.
I know I can always copy that folder into the admin local data folder, but is there a way to make it use the old file?

I think you are misinterpreting things. It's not a big deal sinse there is a big languace/cultural/communication gap, but le me explain the way I see things.

You see, china is made of people, way more than a billion actually. Some of these people are into cryptos: they mine, they trade, they post on forums and do all sorts of shit. Like you and me.
Now, there's big brother in China. Think like an asian NSA. And if the goverment says you're not trading with cryptos, you're not trading with cryptos. So people just try to sell their cryptos, for fiat, that they can use.

What would you do if, hipotetically, your country forbid cryptos? AND you were risking for not abiding?

Look at it this way, if BTC is low, it's because people are selling low. it's a good time to buy.
