Holy shit I decided to read into it, this is just a rewrap of hamming's error correcting codes. That's good and all, I can probably trust my transactions but that's only against folk who want to steal money/data. What happens if some malicious prick alters 1/3 of every transaction crashing the network, is it likely, not really. Is it possible? Fucking entirely with a bit of effort and we've seen these breaches before during wartimes or attack on banks.

With no counter measure or security to handle breaches like that idk, that seems risky as hell.

I don't know, maybe maybe not. I'm not tech savvy. It definitely seems to be aiming at further innovation, and they have some reputable partnerships. Creating a network that can be verified and secure between consumer accessible devices seems to be an intelligent goal given certain political realities. I know BTC maxis will say that mining is done 80% renewable or whatever, but BTC will be attacked by Yellen and crew for its "inefficiency". I'm not even saying the attack is valid or not, I could care less. But it will happen. And when it happens there is going to be a door opening for new tech. Bitcoin has first adoption status at this point, and that is all. If there is actually any utility to this tech, BTC will have to move to the sidelines and pretty soon.

I should note, I'm not fudding, I'll grab some now they've actually got some traction going but for the life of that investment I'd keep a close eye on the cryptography space, keep tabs on recent breaches. This is one area where if it was an actual block chain it would be immune to such attacks.

this is what caused me to miss out on ADA when I first started following crypto in depth, i fell for the argument from the autists on this board that "it's vaporware, it does nothing, no use case," blah blah blah. the fact that it was getting hyped up by reddit was unironically a bullish indicator but I was too naive to understand that at the time. marketing, presentation, and hype is ALL that matters and all that ever will.
