Do local coin stores sell gold coins at only 1% over premium?

If official mints sell it at 3-3.5% brand new, then theres no way these small stores would even get customers/make money anyway unless they scam retards who are doing cash4gold transactions at half price.

For commodities ETFs, GSG tracks the S&P GSCI weight is about 60% oil, 15% agriculture, 10% industrial metlas, 7% livestock, 5% gold/silver. DJCB uses the Bloomberg commodities index which is more equally weighted at 30% oil. I don't like buying at the top of such a run-up, but the historical chart for the Bloomgberg index here https://www.crescat.net/february-research-letter/ makes me think it could be a good move right now.

I'm thinking of putting my entire HSA into DJCB which is currently about 60% VTI, 30% QQQ, and 10% VXUS. My individual brokerage and my Roth IRA are both majority silver miners with the second biggest positions in URA and GSG.

fantastic start. now think of something you waste money on often that you can quit and save the money to buy silver every month or two when you have enough saved for free shipping. you can easily make it with what you got, but if you better yourself from this point forward, you may die and leave most of your stack behind, which is why we all stack in the first place.

the /k/ guide always said 1k/caliber required. If you're in .308/.223/7.62x39 - it's not happening without a shitload of cash.

I always tell people - make your first a .357 lever or a .30-30 lever (whichever is cheap). Never attracts attention and is still around and is more than enough for HD and hunting.

>GUNR

If either of you guys are anon that mentioned this one the other night, thank you. I have about 10% of my portfolio in this. I like the upstream natural resources theme as it invests directly in the companies that make use of the commodities (Exxon, Tyson Foods, etc). This ETF should be a really solid choice for the coming cycle, if we're right.

I don't think you messed up with GUNR. My uneducated take on these ETFs is that GSG and DJCB are direct plays on commodities future contracts, while GUNR invests in the actual companies that make use of these commodities. So you have the raw materials themselves, then the companies that then process them. Let me know if I'm way off base.

There's more work and logistics involved in handling smaller units,
if you're not in it for SHTF scenarios and are only investing I would just get large chunks.
If you intend to use it as money you'll have to pay some premiums.

decided on a smarter goldback purchase: original 2019 utah set with the special wallet. including all the awkward, confusing text like how the bill calls itself a coin and all the crazy anti-v& "we're not liberty dollars" type text.

did some more research, and the CEO is a cryptocuck who got into PM's in 2015. 3 series in 2 years was too fast, and it only cost a few hundred grand to sponsor a new series. I smelled a "collector's trap" designed to cuck idiots into paying 150%+ premiums for mediocre amounts of new bullion.

still glad to have exactly 1 set of them. I just slept on it and knew that in 50 years, I'd really wish I bought some OG 2019 utah goldbacks, no matter how much better the NH artwork is. now to cancel the order for NH's and just eat the 10% cancellation fee. I've been jewed worse than that before; it's less than an (((insufficient funds))) penalty.

GDX is about 10% Barrick, so you get a lot of exposure with the ETF. If you want a hands-off approach, GDX is a good choice for general gold miner exposure. Mix it with GDXJ if you want more exposure to mid-cap and small-cap miners, too. My exposure is 50/50 GDX/GDXJ. If you want microcaps, you will need OTC tickers and a much higher risk tolerance.

I have gold and silver with BullionVault and am very familiar with their service. The problem with silver in vaults is that the storage fees are high due to the low value density of silver relative to gold and platinum. You can check out BullionVault or any other vaulting service (I think GoldMoney and OneGold are similar to BullionVault) and compare the prices for storing various precious metals. I suspect you'll come to the same conclusion that I did, that the price for storing silver with a vault is too high.

>they did that because they were toeing around the norfed dollar controversy; although I hate that the bill has ".com" on it
I don't mind the .com, it came out in 2019 so of course they have a website. the goldbacks are a complement to my norfed dollars in my coin collection, nothing more or less right now. the original of anything is pretty much always worth the most.

even though I'm suspicious of the whole enterprise, it's a brilliant idea and very simple to measure on the milli scale:
0.001 oz = 1 goldback
0.005 = 5
0.010 = 10
0.025 = 25
0.050 = 50
very simple indeed. I wish that was made much more clear, with minimal text. would love to use them as real currency when the time is right. a lot of the language on the bills is unnecessarily confusing, like calling them "coins" and being "for circulation in utah."

I see it as a spiritual successor to norfed, only less scummy because it's not an outright pyramid scheme. the premiums are definitely crazy, calculating now.

a full set is 0.091 oz troy, spot is 1,695.70
bullion value for a set is 154.3087
I paid $350 for a set and wallet ($30 retail price)

minus $30 for the wallet, that's a 107.376% premium for a set
remember that actual solid numismatic gold like a $2.50 indian head may carry premiums only 70%

tl;dr it's a ripoff

Maybe that will be my goal once the wife and I own land lol. Got a few AR's and the parents have all sorts of hand guns and bolt guns if anything were to go down so I feel more than comfortable with our fire power.

Furniture is the least of my concerns. I'm talking internals brother. PSG1 or MSG90 insides and barrel is the end game. Not just "looks"

because retards think hyperinflation has somehow been averted. Weimar germany showed that an economy will keep chugging until the very last minute until it all comes crashing down instantly. But those in the know probably see the end is near, its why the euros are cozying up to china

Looks really nice
$3bn market cap $500m in cash
$800 AISC 800k oz p.a. production.
That is comfy as fuck.
Question is if they have the mine life to back it up? Usually in these situations mine life is low if the valuation is like that.

yeah. I'm glad I bought 1 single original set to complement the $10 face value norfed dollars (I paid 90.959% over spot and don't consider it a ripoff at all, considering the guy got v& and it was a pyramid scheme so they melted down most $10's to resell them as $20's). that's my completed edgy alt-money collection done. now I can chill out, stack cash, and focus on finding real gold for the deepest discounts. I bought over 2.5 oz of gold and 10x as much silver this year alone. so basically i'm out of the game and into the /focus and stack cash/ game.

Christ, that song. I didn't listen to CKY in highschool, but a lot of my friends did and some of the girls I dated. What an absolute shot of nostalgia straight through the heart.

its a lot of work mate, and its not for everyone, but it is a very rewarding life style. Dont rely on it for your only income though, hobby prospecting is still very fun compared to all the paperwork and bureaucracy of actually holding and managing claims.

While on the topic of Bam, He got fired from Jackass 4, and before that hes been desperately trying to get old jackass members back on the drugs so hes not alone in his misery.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BvUNxSqhKN8

For a great documentary about him last year for those who are interested.

Back on topic, AU Silver price is dropping quite low, Krugerrans and Britannias are 42AUD each, not a bad price.

>>30251841
anon you're calculating the value and premium in gold, but goldbacks don't trade for that cost. they have an inherent premium. for example, 1GB has $1.7 worth of gold in it
BUT if you were to use it as payment for something, 1GB can purchase ~$3.06 worth of goods right now. the actual value of a goldback is calculated by: $1.1 + (spot / 1000) * 1.155
you paid $350 for a set of 91GB; 1GB is worth ~$3.06 right now, so you bought ~$278.46 worth of goldbacks for $350; a 25.7% premium

>>30251633
oh me?
I said
>yeah I think the best way is to have a business where you accept them. We need people who like the idea but don't know math very well to reach a critical point. Once we reach that critical point it doesn't matter what the price of a GB is; 1GB = 1/1000ozt gold. A bushel of apples will cost 2GB, a fancy dinner at a restaurant will be 10GB and so on.

i am not the blaster on site so i dont do that, but i can do it if need be, issue is keeping the blasters tickets in canada is actually insane. You are basically monitored like a hawk because the gov only hands out a few licenses a year, and the mental / political testing they put you through now makes it almost not worth it.
