I’m old enough to remember 2010-11. Coworkers showing me the “great deal” they got on ASEs for “only” 50$ per coin. It’s not that bad now cause some people learned. Granted those coins are worth nearly 100$ now to collectors uncirculated but still the melt value is not there. If you bought generic rounds or bars at those prices you are still down 50% on you investment a decade later while stocks are up leant hundreds of percent.

Shorting silver and gold has been a decades long endeavor. The whole fiat system relies on a suppressed gold and silver price, otherwise people would lose faith in fiat and the rigged game comes to an end. They will lose on an eventual rise in the price against their shorts, but they have access to unlimited capital by the Fed so they aren’t risking much. They also do make a bunch of cash on selling silver futures derivatives. Just like they do with fractional reserve banking they do with metals. Able to loan hundreds of claims on one piece of metal and make rediculous profits. Until some of those people stand for delivery and the other couple hundred lose out. This is the aim of the silver squeeze. Withdraw all physical from the comex forcing them to admit they cannot deliver physical to anyone and the whole Ponzi scheme collapses.
