The rubic is traded on external exchanges for the token you're attempting to swap to.

So if you swap ERC20A for ERC20B, if there's nothing on the order book, the internal RBC pool goes to uniswap or 1inch and swaps this for ERC20B, then ERC20A is collected and pooled until that is requested. In order to balance this, when you swap RBC for another token on the rubic.exchange, the RBC is cached in the pool providing liquidity is available to do so. The pool has a limit where it cannot hold more than 80% of its liquidity in RBC.
