I do not condone lying but I havw done it more and more on my resume. Mainly because of the ridiculous expectations they have for jobs.

Eg.
>3 years experience doing this task
>literally takes 2 months or less to learn it
>2 months later you're basically an expert on it

Or my more recent one, not entirely sure on the experience requirement but guessing

Seriously!? This last one having the experience doesnt even help unless it was specifically using their program and even then you'd still have to learn how they do it so basically that 1 year experience isnt even needed. Even at the interview they were asking me if I was sure i wanted the job as it was basically data entry. Really annoys me. Almost every time they think that i think im too good for the job, will leave the job asap, or think im underqualfied to do something simple.

Really dislike having to lie but these employers are putting me in a difficult position. I either work min wage retail or warehouse even with a few year work experience or I lie to get better work that doesnt really need the experience.

Don’t lie about anything that ca be checked via background check.

Most companies that are large will hire an agency that checks companies and unis that you listen on your resume to see if the details check out. Some call HR, some are automatic (like unis) and if small enough they check with a “manager”. The only one you can fake is the small company experience by getting someone to vouch for you with 1. Title, 2 length of employment and 3. Would you hire them again
