The jews I encountered tended to have really deep knowledge about very narrow things, and not much knowledge of anything else.
The non-jews I encountered tended to have wider, but shallower knowledge.
For example, I have a hard time having deep technical discussions with non-jews about their domain, but I get very fruitful discussion with jews. Conversely, I can't talk economy or history with jews, but it works a lot better with non-jews. Of course, if those jews were historians, I'd expect the opposite.

Get a research role, or a bio|cheminformatics/biostats "support" role, in a hospital. In my case I end up in charge of guiding policy decisions via my work so I end up going to the hospital staff to figure out what they'd like to see, to the government to petition for approvals, then back to the hospital staff to get them to follow the approved changes, spans about everyone. If you aren't in a role that routinely touches on policy like this, you'll still get to work somewhat close to doctors because you need good contact with them to figure out what could be useful to them and why. It's actually a much sadder job than you'd believe because the metrics they use are really bad (risk ratio, identification over false discovery rate, aforementioned QALY, disease-free survival (which isn't what it says on the tin), etc.), but they're too dumb for things that are more statistically sane, so a lot of the job is to get results we're internally happy with, and then mess with the data so it's also looking good for them (even though sometimes it doesn't without "patching the data").
