>> No.30152102

Given the TVL and APY displayed on the app, the daily fees generated from yield(revenues=15% of yield) are 2877$.
Given the $25M vVSP TVL and the 323% APY, it means daily revenues distributed are $221,000.
If revenues from yield is only 2.8K it means the balance should come from the 0.6% withdrawal fees.
221k-2,8k=218k
218k/0.6%=$36M
So either theres $36M worth of TVL withdrawing daily, which is impossible given the current total TVL, or the team is pumping the vVSP reward to create fabricated hype for their token.

learn the difference between liquidity farms and pools. Harvest.finance's FARM pool's APY (stake FARM, earn FARM) is currently 70%. compare that to VSP's (stake VSP, earn VSP) of 300%. Plus, FARM's token price has reach a peak. VSP can still hit $50, a 35% increase. so with VSP you can get 300% APY from staking + a potential (some would say, likely) 35% appreciation on the price of the coin in the short term. VSP is like FARM 2 years ago when the token was worth $20 and the APY in the multiple hundreds.

>> No.30154518

>>30154373
its quite obvious why if you read the docs. They take a cut from yield earned on defi platforms. the vsp rewards are not revenues for the platform, they are a way to distribute the token. they dont take a cut from vsp rewards given as incentives.

>> No.30154694

>>30154397
I think we can actually agree that FARM has a lot more pairs due to being a lot more mature. some yield good returns like your wBTC-kBTC example. but we can also agree that as a project, FARM has hit its peak. its token price will not increase much anymore and the APY will keep dropping. VSP is a lot newer with fewer pairs as of now, but it has a far greater potential for growth. to date you should use FARM if you want to generate yields from crypto you already own, and buy VSP + stake if you want to invest in a new project with good potential.

>> No.30154766

Maybe you're right, but that doesn't make much sense. On a pool such as Veth there are 2 percentages listed. .98% Veth and 51.77% Vsp. Both are listed as yield. I don't know if adding those in would fix your calculations, and I don't plan to check. Just sharing what I think could be the discrepancy.

>> No.30154952

>>30154766
dude you simply dont understand how the platform works. I suggest you read the docs. The VSP apy is not obtained from defi platforms. Its a way to distribute the token. They wont take a 15% cut on the token they distribute, it would be against the goal of distributing it. I dont blame you because your clearly new to defi, but I advise you read the docs and learn how this all works.

I'm definitely new to defi. Up until now I just held onto other coins and waited. Thanks for the info. I don't believe they're trying to trick anyone though.

>> No.30155563

>>30155080
you can "believe" all you want, but the fees generated are far lower than whats being "distributed". I say "distributed" because they dont even distribute it right away, only when people withdraw from the vVSP pool. Which indicates that it could be a ponzi. They advertise an APY higher than what generated but dont distribute it, so they only get caught if a large proportion of the vVSP pool withdraws
