One thing I like about OMG, in particular, is that it will essentially be how a proof of Stake Ethereum will be in the future, and I sold my ETH "cheap" as I didn't just trust my gut and hold like I should have.
As the entire core Ethereum team is behind it, this feels like a second chance to me to stake lots of tokens and ride the wave up. There is an upcoming ETH based distribution and people could just dump them, but my gut feeling this will just help OMG even more and the peak is still a long ways off.

It is an ERC20 token, for now, but they will be making a unique blockchain with proof of stake. Considering the connections to the entire core Ethereum team I am making some educated guesses, but this seems like an ideal way to test sharding and POS for ETH on another project, while helping a project that is about banking the unbanked, which is a bit noble.

It depends on what your timescale is. This coin has very, very strong fundamentals. More-so than even NEO, imo. You might lose money in the near future if you buy now, as people will inevitably want to reap their profits, but in the 2-4 month time scale, the dip will look tiny. Look at NEO's two-month history for comparison.
