BTC is getting into the hands of long-term holders more and more, which is why the price is going up.

It has been for at least the past 10 years. It's a self-fulfilling prophecy. The only obstacle is the United States Government and it is in the process of being destroyed.

Did you think that election being stolen wasn't apart of Nakamoto's master plan? Trump was the last resistance. With the tape holding the USD together removed we will now go to 1 million.

Nothin' is too big to fail after the bailouts that followed the 2008 crisis.
Only time something is "too big to fail" is if the corrupt government will bail them out. Even then, eventually you have to think the government is gonna like.....fall apart or eventually people are gonna get pissed off about how the govt bitches about "free markets" until rich people get in trouble, then it bails them out.

Bitcoin is actually gonna fail I think, eventually. In the long term. Cuz it's an old, dead technology now. So many more better technologies in crypto now. Normies seem to think "bitocin is the best!" they don't understand bitcoin is legit one of the worst coins out there from any objective, technical perspective.

So eventually a much better coin will take it's place.
But "crypto" in general likely won't fail, because it's a new, burgeoning technology that is set to explode in the years to come.

Thanks for coming to my TeD talk. Now put all of your money in crypto. Bitcoin or DeFi, don't matter, just put it in.

Interesting responses so far. As i take it - the people will pay with taxes for bitcoin not failing ? Everyone not invested will get the shaft and pay for the invested ?

depends what you mean by fail. There will always be some autists running nodes and trading it until we die. Whether that's at $5 or $5,000,000 is another matter

Bitcoin will always hold the highest value. It really will eventually become digital gold- worth a lot but hard to trade. We'll see other coins come close but not to its value

You are saying "oldest tech" as if it's a bad thing.

Bitcoin is the most tested, stable, strongest, and used computer network EVER. There is nothing that holds a candle to it.

Ethereum is dogshit because it can't scale. Fantom, AVAX, Matic are all solutions which take away from ETH's value.

That is what too big to fail means.

Very nice. You figured it out. Will the government save bitcoin if the price drops below a certain range ? That is exactly the question i am asking.

that's not how software works, especially bitcoin which is a protocol instead of a program. It can be re-implemented and the protocol updated to match the current needs. it could be moved to a proof of stake system if needed. But the simplicity of bitcoin is why it has so much staying power. It doesn't need smart contracts or native tokens or whatever, it just does one thing and it does it fairly well, transfer value between wallets in a decentralized trustless manner. if you think a better coin will take it's place you don't understand crypto. There's plenty of room for defi but we need bitcoin as the one thing the whole crytpo space and the world at large can agree on as being the defacto store of value for human civilization. It really is like gold

Nothing is too big too fail

but if your average buy in is below 30k$ you will pretty much make a 10x-30x and have almost 0% chance of losing money
