You could already run nodes on AWS, or use any other paid node service. The people who weren't going to run their own local node already weren't doing it. Nobody running their own node is going to see this announcement and be like "well shucks, finally don't have to run my own node!"

This doesn't change anything other than give easier access to people that wouldn't have run their own node anyway
