Since this also is inflation general, here's an interesting read for the German(speaker)s:
It's der Standard talking to Hans Werner Sinn, so you won't get your usual dose of right-wing conspiracies, but it's a pretty good (and long) read.
tl;dr:
Short term, there's no reason to panic, but long term, the insane amounts of fresh money will cause issues and cash won't save you. Best to have tangible assets (or debt). Crypto is a ponzi scheme and won't save you, but the digital-€ is probably coming soon, with pros and cons. pms not mentioned, but you could probably add them to tangible assets.

You're right. I should make it simple, I should do the following:

Gift family overseas 15k per month in crypto, because I believe in filial piety. Set up a wallet for them and send them some Monero, although I'm sure they will then want to change it back to BTC anyway. However, they are old, so I am also sure they want to buy metals and they will ask me to store it in my safe in America.

I think this is best. The older generation deserves silver and gold, I will look after it, and IRS doesn't need to worry about paperwork.

o fuck off, i am just giving examples of where and whos working. If you want the real truth, that influx is only going to get worse if Canada doesnt get to training its own people in the industry. The technical schools havent had mining or underground development courses in a decade because it wasnt needed. The mining sector is scrambling for anyone willing to work here, but also at the same time, in a stupid turn of events only want to hire experienced labor, many companies dont want to train, hence they go and find people who are trained.

If you want an example of this watch this old doc from the 70s from Stewart BC. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p794J6mVZUA&list=PL-gbC_8efdJ1ICeFMSTuJVXfmfJWt4MZV&index=59

Ah, I don't follow most of the /pmg/ threads so that must have been said in one of the threads I didn't see. I do wonder if all of the ammunition is being bought up by regular people here. It's been nearly a year since the real panic buying of ammunition begun and there's still a shortage. I can't imagine every new gun owner buying 10,000 rounds of ammunition. I get a strange feeling something else is going on. Maybe some people are buying ammunition as a store of value? I know that 5.56 NATO has essentially doubled in price over the past year and roughly tripled in the past 18 months.

In the summer I do my own exploration work, some winters I work others I dont depending on if positions are available. At Osisko's BGM were were running at half power due to awaiting permit finalization for the full mine start up and a lack of trained professionals. We lost two guys a month ago for busting equipment so were short handed. We usually have two shut down periods, freeze up and spring thaw, where everything shuts down waiting for things to dry out.

That's how i landed all my below spot deals. If you try to buy auctions ending up around 5-7 pm you will get swarmed with angry boombooms who want their shinies and pay a fuck ton.

If you have a ton of ammunition (5,000, 10,000, or whatever gun aficionados believe is a lot of rounds) and are sitting on at least a 2x capital gain, it might be worthwhile to sell a portion of your ammunition just to lock in those gains. If you buy stocks, though, just be aware that you could suffer a loss or even get wiped out whereas the ammunition will always be a physical possession of yours no matter how low the price gets.

I just can't imagine ammunition prices going a lot higher because it's already expensive enough that even people with a fair amount of ammunition are shooting fewer rounds at the ranges and reducing the frequency they visit the ranges. At a high enough price, you'd think that the ammunition manufacturers would have an incentive to expand production facilities.

I subscribe to various economic forecasts and they are under the impression that we are forming a bottom in the PMs market that started August last year. After that, they believe a new leg up will begin. I'm not sure if junior mining stocks are the best play, though, from a risk-reward perspective. I am personally looking for an entry point to my existing positions in Hecla, Pan American Silver, Pretium, and Alamos Gold. I'm also considering re-opening a position in New Gold after previous management screwed me hard.

The $12 - $28 move occurred quickly and the silver price was not at $12 very long so it wasn't fully reflected in the stock price. If silver hits $50/oz and stays there, the silver mining companies that are at least somewhat reasonably managed will make massive profits and those profits will translate into very large gains in the stock prices.

You don't seem to understand how the leverage works in mining stocks. Think it over how profits are made in mining and how profits increase in mining with increasing metals prices and you'll see why mining stocks can really skyrocket if the metals prices rise high enough and stay there.

Wow, that's a pretty hefty gain. If I were you and had more than enough rounds, I'd probably sell a portion to lock in those gains. I'm seeing about $1/round for good-quality 5.56 rounds and I get the sense that ammunition is slowly becoming more available as an on-line store I check every now and then has had inventory for a few weeks now although they put a hard limit on the quantity one can buy.

>Nice portfolio of miners you got there though
I'm kind of eating it on Alamos since I bought it a month or two ago. Pan American has been my biggest gainer but I bought it in 2015 or 2016 when all of the mining stocks were dirt cheap. I suspect that when the PMs bull market resumes, Hecla, Pretium, and Alamos should perform better than Pan American Silver. Pretium in particular seems to have really good properties that are very rich in gold.

Think about your question, then think about reality. You fomo bought a ton of ammo at a decent premium, now it’s just sitting there and you don’t have any money. You’re not the only one. Relatively soon, there might be a point where people realize the end isn’t here yet and there’s will be a ton of ammo on the market. Not to mention that manufacturers are also ramping up production. Once their supply hits he market it will kill any perceived premium on your items.

Gm everyone! Whose up for my favorite bible passage? Let us pray

13 When it was almost time for the Jewish Passover, Jesus went up to Jerusalem. 14 In the temple courts he found people selling cattle, sheep and doves, and others sitting at tables exchanging money. 15 So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables. 16 To those who sold doves he said, “Get these out of here! Stop turning my Father’s house into a market!” 17 His disciples remembered that it is written: “Zeal for your house will consume me.”[c]

18 The Jews then responded to him, “What sign can you show us to prove your authority to do all this?”

19 Jesus answered "Fuck the Jews and the Jannies.”

AMEN.

True. The book 'The Great Reset' by Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum was published in June. They actually tell you what's happening.

Not sure if any of you gambling degenerates have heard, but the Reserve Bank of Australia doubled their daily bond buy backs(quantative easing) program to $4 billion a day, which would be just over $1 trillion aud a year.

All of course in the aim of suppressing bond yields and stopping interest rates from going up. The US markets pumped on open after this news because everyone now (rightfully) assumes the FED will do the same. YCC is now a reality. wether they make it official or not, we know its here. They will do ANYTHING to stop bond yields from rising and interest rates from going up.

Silver miner bro's prediction is coming true right before our eyes.

>biggest bubble in history

mining equities are among the most undervalued equities of all time. not at least having a suicide stack is depriving your descendants of a future family fortune. those who have physical silver AND (selective mining equities, good assets, good management, no debt etc) will MASSIVELY outperform everyone else.

your picrel is very interesting.
i've been kicking around the idea that this whole gme thing is much much bigger than dfv a couple cheeto eaters with a brilliant stoner moment.
i think it's fairly obvious there are some major forces, globally, restructuring the global economy.
not 'great reset' shit. this feels like a fight to correct things.

i wonder if gme is meant to publicly show
>However, the authorities could prove... collective ability and specific intent to create an artificial price.
as a working example of the PM manipulation that has been going on for years.

because precious metals are a really good inflation hedge (and more). wti oil would be too but it is hard to store and carry around for the average joe. we are witnessing the greatest ponzi scheme propagated by cultists and criminals (micheal saylor will be arrested when bitcoin crashes 50%+). they cultists and criminals act for the centeal banks' benefit too because they d&c the peoples afraid of inflation. but idgaf. normies and retards in crypto will see how much the governments "love" crypto in the future. buggy implementations made by hobbyists are probably vulnerable af. i wouldn't be surprised if the big players have already exploits to fuck up crypto software without harming the rest of the internet. nobody hacks your gold and silver.

in the 00s it was the iphone what attracted braindead cultists, today it's bLOcKCHAin. the others are mostly scammers. it's like you said. of course people could own both at the same time but cultists and criminals don't like the idea.
