It's nothing like LINK, which is an equally useless first-party Oracle that centralizes transaction data and can't be verified because it comes from them. Link is basically an ETH token without it's own blockchain and a meme that went too far. What does this mean? Nothing, you're seeing an artificial vaporwave pump. Both GRT and LINK are useless to the developer community because they're decentralized and rely on the Etherium blockchain network, which in itself is a piece of spaghetti code written by a zoomer Russian programmer. No major trillion-dollar company is ever going to use blockchain data to store data, ditching their safe and centralized data servers for easily hackable decentralized ETH-backed clognests. The GRT token itself is not related to the GRT service used by Uniswap and other DeFi token exchanges. It's just used to make the devs rich and you're pumping their bags on a worthless token. Actual web dev here. GRT brings nothing new to the table. I hear the comparisons to LINK and laugh my ass off. It's basically a more advanced backend indexer for ETH, sort of like an Etherscan for nerds looking to derive more accessible data to build DeFi apps. What does this mean? Nothing. It’s just a utility token that allows you to query data on the Ethereum blockchain network, which in itself is a piece of spaghetti code written by a zoomer Russian programmer. The GRT token itself is not even related to the GRT service used by Uniswap and other DeFi token exchanges. It's just used to make the devs rich and you're pumping their bags on a worthless token. There is inherent value in the chainlink network because of node reputation. GRT doesn't need to establish trust, it just needs to convert data from one format to another. If the library was clientside then you could validate its output yourself. The entire BTC blockchain throughout all its history is only ~300 GB. The entire ETH blockchain is ~1.5 TB. I've worked with larger git repos, where traversing the entire merkle tree only takes about 30 seconds on a reasonably powerful computer. You're buying vaporware, don't be idealistic about any of these tokens and enjoy the free money. Get out at the top and never become a bagholder.

GRT fucking sucks
>>30099556Listen up newfags, I'm a tcp ip developer at a fortune 50 big data company with 25 years experience in database infosec, I've looked into GRT and all I can tell you if that the cryptographic measures implemented in regards to the decentralized security paradigm in the API and IoT structure of GRT's github code is fundamentally flawed after the Pivotal tracker server crashed due to the core attacks on the network enabled by its corrupt data inputs and outputs, what this really means is that by attempting to solve the oracle sybil resistance issue it instead allows customers to bypass the encrypted hardware and even hack into the smart contract Intel SGX mainframe, unless they manage to increase the signatures and scalable nodes, which isn't likely considering the Google backend isn't compatible with the legacy JSON systems and Solidity language from the EVM in the Truffle stacks, that's why the ic3 and SWIFT engineering teams developed the ISO 20220 standards but it's centralized and susceptible to the 51% front running program so yeah basically Sergey didn't foresee that the enterprise customers and cloud blockchain dapps would never allow their protocols to rely on these permissioned host mechanisms thus rendering the GRT ERC 677 token obsolete and no serious developer would consider DLT technology in these conditions, sorry girthies I'm just telling it how it is.

>>30093807Yes you can undelegate portions. It takes 28 days for the amount you undelegated to "thaw" before you can move it to your wallet in order to sell or redelegate.
>>30104015>>30104105hey ladies what's going on here
>>30094434You don't get rewards during the 28 days for the amount you undelegated. You don't have to undelegate your whole stack. Example, I delegate 100k grt. The first month I get 1.5k grt in rewards. I undelegate 500 grt, the other is automatically added to my delegation stack. Now, for 28 days the 500 grt I undelegated would not earn any rewards, so I miss out on about 1 grt there. But the 101k grt I have delegated keep on earning grt the whole time, so next month I get a little more than 1.5k (not much more) since I now have 101k delegated, next month even more since I'll then have 102k delegated. Each month I could add 1k grt to the delegation stack for compounding and take out first 500, then a little more and a little more than 500 each month. How much you actually get per month for 100k grt depends on the indexer you pick, and APY is bound to go down a bit with time, it's been very good in the beginning.
If it goes up in price because people are selling is that good or bad idk??

>>30106336Good luck Anon, I hope you're having fun building your little thing.
>>30093288
>>30092070>>30103609kek yeah ok anon, 8 gorillion dollars is going to be distributed on more than 20+ investors, and none of them are going to even consider sellinghere's some mathsassuming 4 new billion tokens released, and 1.2 circulating, i'll be nice and assume only 50% are staked and locked, seed tokens on the other hand are not staked, those are the indexer and curator fundsso 600m is liquid and float on the marketif only 15% decide to dump, that's equal to a NEW 600m tokens being soldso mathematically if for every seller there's a buyer, these 600m floating tokens being dumped on the market alone will send the price down by nearly 50%now imagine yourself as a seed investor, and you probably did this maths, it's fucking clear you don't want one rogue investor to slash your entire investment by 50%so what you do is you'll want to dump first, and if you're late, you just wait for the rebound and THEN dump againgood luck anons, this gorillion token dump is bollocks
>>30106521kekbut minus points for saving a jpg as a png
GiRTh chads i'm glad to be here with you. now if only I could finally find a way to buy ADA I'd be a happy cryptotard

>>30105948Good indexers correct it immediately. Check the get discord. Some tell people to get fucked. Protofire responds immediately. Juan is based out of Des Moines Iowa and he rules. Bad indexers can easily fuck you. Protofire has no cool down period so they can change terms whenever but they don't. They are transparent. They've only changed rates to fix over delegation so they use the 0 cool down rate to help rather than fuck you. Very transparent.Pic related is my bike. Dope 60 mile ride.
