i have skills that unfortunately are in a high "prestige" field that i have no desire to spend another day in and the shame of getting into the amazon cage doesn't seem so bad in comparison. Issue is the field i've been in is so retarded and specific that it has effectively nullified any chances of getting into anything worthwhile outside of it, so i'm a 16 year old again as far as career standing is concerned.

anon, it's not midwit to hate wage slaving. It's a normal human condition. The people that work tirelessly are few and far between. My dad worked 60+ hours/week for 20 years as a foreman and still worked side jobs on the weekend too. He's not a dull man by any measure. He just loves working and feeling productive. Meanwhile I'm waging now so I can escape by age 45. I can't fucking stand it.

I worked at the amazon warehouse for about 3 months, and some of them are actually great. I was at one in the UK and it was comfy as fuck. I listened to music and podcasts a day while loading up cages full of parcels to be loaded into trucks. Didn't have to speak to a single soul all day, it was bliss. And it was in the summer so I could help load parcels into trucks in the sun in the afternoons.
