I can really see this approach working. Regular VPN's are heavily advertising themselves on YouTube right now but the problem is, it costs people like 15$ a month to have vpn and they dont really understand why they should use it, so if you could just sell your bandwidth and then use what you gain for it to pay for VPN when you need it, essentially making it "0 cost" it could drive the adoption ,its much easier to sell product that has option to be "free", others who dont give a damn about few dollars will just pay up and all of this could create huge ecosystem of nodes around the globe
