I would use Celsius as of right now since they do direct to USD loans so I can avoid taxes. On there you can only take 25% of the collateral for a loan. It’s a fact that you have to pay the loan back and at that point you’re either paying back in fiat or selling crypto to pay it back, which is a taxable event.

I guess you could keep extending the loans and hope to get a reverse margin call in the future. But there’s no way around the need to cash out crypto.

If you have a good explanation of this please let me know, I’ve been looking into this and doing for for over a year now. It’s great for additional leverage but that’s the only use right now as far as I’m concerned.

Michael Saylor discusses this in a podcast I saw a month ago where wealthy elites in NY have been doing this for 100 years as their family continuously inherits them over time. You buy assets that are so valuable you never want to sell them and just take loans against it forever while the asset compounds its value. Its even more lucrative with crypto on the compounding front but you have to deal with volatility so you need puts as a hedge. Real estate is slow and doesn't dump especially if its prime location.
