I'm thinking weeklies 5% out. The idea is that 5% * 50 weeks is 250% (premium excluded), so worst case scenario I make out like a bandit anyway. Weeklies are also easier to readjust, and have higher premiums per time unit than monthlies. Also, I observed that soxl can do 5% in a day every so often, but usually gap-fills and ends up close or under 5% for the week. I'll run some better stats when I really do it, and maybe it will end up with ~7-10% instead, we'll see.

The problem with stocks is when the market starts overheating like it is now. P/E ratios are far too high to be realistic and stocks don't reflect the real economy anymore. At some point we are going to get a correction and you don't want to be in stocks then. I recently started earning real money meaning I started gaining a lot of stocks at what I perceive to be very near the top of the market. As we will also hit inflation rates of maybe 10% in a few years or less and bonds have near negative rates, there are very little alternatives but the pyramid scheme they call crypto, buying a house during a clear housing bubble or buying assets like gold or art. My current strategy is to do some value investing as the backbone of my portfolio while gambling a bit on meme stocks. It's going well for now but for how long?
