Holy fucking shit /biz/, I just made it and I had no idea it even fucking happened.
I guess when it comes down to it, blind luck and enough dedication to what seems like a middling job can get you somewhere.
I thought I was destined to being average my hole life, but holy shit you can fucking do it as long as you but yourself out there.

FYI he does that to several candidates in similar roles and will only call you up if you stand out against them. Also in project work there are significant changes in the matter of hours so don't count on this leading to anything. You havent made it anywhere until this job happens

No, it's just me. The specific project I'm working on right now just happened to be connected directly to what he's working on right now. It just worked out that they were similar and I had the exact skill set he needed out of sheer coincidence. He didn't talk to anyone else at all, likely because they weren't a fit. My work right now is relatively unique
