Coinbase and other exchanges skim off the top, the Algorand wallet and a couple of other legitimate wallets do not (Exodus and Trust). The APY actually fluctuates between roughly 6.2 and 7.8% BTW (depending on circulation). Last I checked the APY should be around 6.4 or 6.5 right now, but it will increase again over time.

My portfolio is 35% ALGO, 35% ADA, 20% XTZ, 10% BAT, but you're basically right. We'll see in a day or two if Charles delivers. If he does, ADA can be considered a serious project. Cardano and Algorand are pretty similar in goals, but I think Algorand is the better one and will prevail. But since Cardano has hype behind it for now, and if they actually manage to pull it off with the annoucement that you mentioned, then ride with it but I suggest taking it out at a high point because I still believe that Algorand will overtake Cardano.

I am very bullish on BAT, very great browser. Provides high privacy, in-built ad-block that is even better. Gives a legitimate chance to ad companies to get their ads across over to us, since we get rewarded for it. I still have to research their tokenomics but so far so good.
