No bullshit presales, rug pulls, pajeet scam coins, gas fees, uniswap, dexess, telegram, twitter. You don't need to research the next "moonshot" coin. All you need is to trade bitcoin to make it desu. However I will also be trading some alts if I see a setup off binance futures.

you can trade futures on binance just use a vpn. also, make sure you actually trade conservatively if you're trying to make a living. you can get wiped out by chink scamwicks if your positions are too aggressive. volatility is also going to be very nasty compared to traditional markets. good luck.

I'm a total novice. I just read the orderbooks and the Binance trading charts and trade based on intuition and numbers coming in. I see it as a long battle and try to visualize the pressure coming in from either side.

I've made 15k with a starting fund of 1k dollars between 5-20x leverage after a month of learning the ropes. Probably lost 3k or more at the start until I learnt how to read the candles.

Would you have any tips? I don't kno why people invest in shitcoins when futures are a fantastic way to hedge your own bets and generate capital.

Is it viable as a side gig?

Aside from my challenge im doing, for everyone else trading you have to take profits (withdraw your money to the bank) I know that thing is hated here in biz but once you win you must pay yourself. Even putting your profits into usdt isnt good. You are essentially going to the stripclub with a full wallet while saying that you will only use a few hundred. Also imo once you get get to 10k you can ease yourself on leverage.

>locate a macro trend (bearish or bullish) based on orderbook and chart direction
>buy a long at beginning of pump and short at the end
>never expose major capital during the midswing, only at the very beginning of the up or down shift in buy/sell so you can safely GTFO with about $40 losses

There are other tricks as well like cashing out partially and putting a stop loss behind you that will get cancelled out by the early money, and then setting a target and letting your long ride in the night. That's risky though and something I was doing when I was more amateur.

Know when to ride the elevator up and down and watch the chart for a while. The numbers will help me, but I also want to have a narrative for why this price is moving in a certain way. For FTM, the majority of the holders seem to accept crabbing and love swingtrading. There's lots of empty floors that can be easily punched through and then obvious sell walls designed to let smart money sell and buy back at a slightly higher or lower floor. Probably the most predicatable coin I've seen in my limited experience.

can you explain cryptofutures to a newfag I just googled it and this was the definition. Derivative Products
Crypto futures are Derivative Products. Such products are a form of contract. In essence, futures form a commitment between two parties to either buy or sell an asset on a predetermined date, at a pre-established price. The agreement tracks an underlying; which in the case of crypto future is a Digital Token. Do I need to give them credit card info or some shit to make a contract because I'm a brokefag who wants to buy 1000$ worth of cardona and pay it off in 7 months.

How do you deal with the pure rush of being up or down 500 or more dollars?

What's the worse liquidation you've faced?

I always put a small $45 x1 buy on BTC to track its movements when I trade. Learnt the hard way how pegged the market is to it.

Also - do you think that the market works because traders understand the mechanics of their trade, or because traders make certain trends self-fulfilling phrophecies? Sorry

>>29943170
How do you deal with the pure rush of being up or down 500 or more dollars?
you shouldnt have a rush in the first place mate. You need to realize that you have no idea if your trade will be a winner or loser. trade will smaller postion size then slowly add up. For me when i started just used 1k notional size, then 2k, 3k, 4k, 5, 7.5k, 10k, 12.5k 15k, etc.

I always put a small $45 x1 buy on BTC to track its movements when I trade. Learnt the hard way how pegged the market is to it.
Pro tip for crypto, pay attention to the "altcoin"/btc pair.

- The market is the most human thing one can encounter. Greed, jealousy, anger, euphoria. Unironically the ones with no emotion will be the winners in the end, and the ones with no emotions will always be the whales, you need huge capital to move the markets.

Can your skills be learned online though, or even self taught through practice? My background is in STEM, I have a doctorate so doing a deep dive in a topic is really quite natural to me. But if the sort of money you are talking about is available then I would be interested in a change of career, for the freedom it would bring, I'd no longer need to be an academic nomad.

Anyway, rant aside, I'm just wondering if one would have to work at a big trader firm like you did in order to be as successful

>> No.29945608

How long would it even take to turn $100 into $1,000,000? I was going to laugh and say 10 years but... that would still be an excellent wage

>> No.29945871

I don't know if it was luck or not but I found myself doing well for a few days swinging with leverage. If i actually stuck to my strategy correctly I would mostly watch large market cap coins for a while until volume was pretty low. Usually i'd wait for a 30 min or 1 hr candle to finish and buy on red or sell on green with 5 - 8x leaverage. If I was patient enough and not greedy I found I could close most trades between +100 and +300 dollars after 5 mins and just repeat. Then I'd get greedy after a few wins and try to short pumps with leverage which is retarded. This was all with about ~3k usd. I'd say above 10k you could probably scrap the leverage and still have a good chance of bagging $500 a day if you're patient and take small profits

>> No.29946520

>>29945413
Imo the technical knowledge isn't that hard you honestly can learn it online, which I did. Id say becoming an engineer or whatever is harder. The thing about trading is emotions which then makes trading as a career arguably harder than most jobs out there. You are trading to make "money" and yet you can lose it all if you are not careful. Can you handle a 10k loss, how about 20K or god knows if you go into debt. It really is a quandary, you need to have abundant mindset and yet we all have a scarce starting capital. "95% of traders lose money" is funny, what about the 5%. I'd say 4% manage to break even or have mediocre profits barely more than a minimum wage worker. And the 1%? They are able to be consistently profitable and create wealth. Trading is not easy mate, I'd say stick with your job and if you genuinely want to trade stick with a few dollar trades, if you can turn that into 100, then start with 1k, and turn that into 10k and so on.
