I bought 7k Bnt when it was at $1. I don't know what defi or staking is.

86%, how will my vote with 5k bnt affect the result?

you buying and holding is still good for the project so dont feel bad or anything, youre helping :)

>> No.29914803

Its part of the onboarding process. Who gives a fuck right now. If we give up 50K bnt and attract 500M of value to the chain then awesome. The Dot liquidity event will be monumental.
I do feel you though, gasless voting will be soon, so this shit will stop.

DAO was a mistake. Fuck devs if they don't veto this.

>> No.29914853

wow if rook passes then it's game over for bancor :/

>> No.29914923

I've been thinking about this and I believe DAOs are showing some similarities to patronage systems in early civilization. It's really not an effective model yet, we need governance NFTs and tokens that appreciate in vote value the longer you hold. Being able to flip vBNT to swing a vote is just... wrong

>> No.29914941

>>29914582
>hundreds of people have to spend 10s to 100s of usd in gas to vote out pajeet scams
this is shaping up to be a real problem isn't it?

>> No.29914948

There were was a sum of at least a million or 2 vBNT voting again badger here. What the fuck happened?

>> No.29914960

>>29914697
20K vBnt represents ~1% of the side you vote on.

>> No.29915000

>>29914582
Governance is a total shit trend. Especially when pajeets can keep bringing in vote after vote until one day the actual supporters stop paying attention.

>> No.29915015

>>29914803
Yup, it's only for a month or so. If we DO get more volume then it's a win for BNT, if not, the extension proposal will get rejected.

>> No.29915020

>>29914923
>tokens that appreciate in vote value the longer you hold
the problem with this kind of mechanism is that you can always just wrap the token in a smart contract and trade the wrapper contract instead, so that technically the token itself doesn't move

>> No.29915045

>>29914941
and they can just shit out proposal after proposal. death by 1000 cuts

>> No.29915056

its over

>> No.29915094

Iexec is getting whitelisted next week. You can vote for r against LM rewards for it.
But the ROOK and BDIGG shit is clearly BNT whales voting in their bags, which is lame as fuck.

>> No.29915121

>>29914923
that was my concern as well. I heard they're working on a model where you can't flip gov tokens so hopefully this is temporary.

>> No.29915604

If shitcoins keep getting listed i'm selling bnt once my pool rewards reset, no point in holding this if fags like cryptomessiah can shift protocol rewards to the shitcoins they bag hold.

>> No.29915609

>>29915020
I don't really understand the mechanics behind it since I don't know how to code smart contracts myself, just saw it on some dev's Twitter and thought it was interesting... I guess you'd have the same problem with governance NFTs, unless they can be made untradeable?

>> No.29915670

badger got voted down twice

Honestly there is a case for Rook. I don't necessarily agree, but there's a case. Badger and digg are blatant cash grabs.
