No idea about CGT for next year. No really interesting stories sadly, because we work on Operational Delivery we very rarely do the actual investigation stuff. Highlight of my career so far was being involved in a 80 million fraud case involving Bulgarians. They were ex-Commie government members who pillaged Bulgaria in the 80s. They got in on the housing boom in Manchester 2 years ago thinking the UK was a good place to hide their money in assets. We actually got tipped off because they went to the UAE first who said no immediately.

General advice: Government bureaucracy is slow and lumbering. If you're a good citizen with no criminal record we'll always give you a pass. Which is to say don't feel like you have to report everything you do. Make us do our jobs, no one will fault you for it.
