While everyone else bleeds sats, we have officially decoupled from buttcoin. The cat is out of the bag. I tried to warn you guys to sell your pancake tokens but no one listened.

I have a unknown amount of XMR, and dont count it in my excel sheet. Had to check the price and you are right, it decoupled.

Depends on legislators and commitment. XMR is the number one target for crypto bans, and I doubt this trend will change. HOWEVER, the looming economic recession might make governments think twice about sowing further FUD in the USD. On the other hand, they might nip it and other cryptos in the but early so it doesn't replace the USD when the USD does collapse. The reason (justification) for this ban is because it is the #1 most used coin for darknet sales. This means that people who have XMR and use it for its intended purpose will not ever sell until a better coin comes along, which is unlikely as XMR has demonstrated similar desirable traits that BTC had back in the 2010s. This means there will always be a base of value for XMR. Even if XMR is totally banned, the USD will collapse and deregulation is a very good way for governments to avoid/postpone civil unrest backed by whales and boomers. It is also likely these governments will make their own crypto to secure their own power, which is more likely given Agenda 2030.

It's a gamble that is more likely than not going to give you dividends.

Yeah you can park some gains in there, some in BTC if you want. Just keep an eye on the ratio. It bounced off a critical support level (.0035 XMR/BTC pairing). Anything less than .1 (1 BTC = 10 XMR) is criminally undervalued imo.

A fair bit. It's my first PC build in 11 years so it was a little rough. I think overall it was about $3000. I paid a $300 premium for the CPU since it was out of stock most places. I think it's worth it though since it's going to be my main battlestation for the next decade or so.

Sadly the GPU is only a 1050 Ti but later once GPUs are available again I've got two slots so I'll be able to get some nice mining GPUs that also work for gaming when I feel like it. For now I figure the 1050 is more than good enough for gaming since I basically haven't played anything more graphics heavy than skyrim since it came out.

Monero is what BTC was meant to be. When punitive tax rates are implemented due to wuflu/socialist utopian millennials and cash is phased out under the guise of “public health,” the grey market will survive using XMR. BTC went full speculative asset when DNM’s refused to accept it - the “store of value” crypto, tied to its utility, is now XMR. Since it’s used to buy a basket of goods the price will be less volatile which is good - it does what it needs to do.

Utopians are already starting to target upper middle class wagies - seeking to loot anyone above them in their jealousy. I wouldn’t be surprised to see retirement accounts looted when the wealthy flee the US financial system and the utopians start grabbing whatever’s left. You’ve been warned - XMR is your insurance policy against the mob’s sloth, avarice and envy.

Depends on what your needs are. Assuming Monero hits its oft-cited $40K projection by decade's end, your potential stack would be worth:

10 XMR = $400K

25 XMR = $1 million

50 XMR = $2 million

75 XMR = $3 million

100 XMR = $4 million

I definitely think so.
Good fundamentals, more stable than other coins, very good as an actual currency, etc.
The downside is that there is less potential to do those insane short term gains you can make with BTC, ETH and smaller coins.

I've been on /XMR/ generals all the time but that's the blackpill. Zoom out and you will see that all altcoins going to zero in terms of satoshis. Even if bitcoin drops altcoins drops much harder thus not gain any value from bitcoin's regression XMR has a bigger chance for not going lower because of the demand from BTC side but who knows I feel hopeful for it and want to see at least 0.01 BTC even then it's 3x lower in terms of satoshis

No coins here, let's say they actually did ban Monero. How could they possibly enforce that? If you have basic opsec it seems to me like no one ever needs to know you have Monero. Perhaps the riskiest thing then becomes trying to cash out Monero for fiat and getting caught by a sting.

Realistically the government could run nodes and subpoena IP addresses within their jurisdiction that connect to them
I don't think XMR can be banned in the United States though because because the block chain is kind of a form a speech, so it might be constitutionally protected. It has to be brought to court before I can say that for certain though.

They'd force Monero off the main exchanges but the advent of atomic swaps make delistings irrelevant.

>If you have basic opsec it seems to me like no one ever needs to know you have Monero. Perhaps the riskiest thing then becomes trying to cash out Monero for fiat and getting caught by a sting.

You wouldn't cash out directly, you'd atomically swap into BTC or LTC first and then cash out, nobody need ever know you hold XMR.
