This would have been one of the weaker and shorter run ups in crypto, which would give credence to the whole dome theory of bitcoin price thing.

I really think it’s not as hot because retailers with under $1000 can’t get in on Uniswap ponzis because of outrageous fees. I would have fomo’d into no less than four rugs last week if it weren’t for the ~20% fee for each swap.

40k sounds about right. Weekends usually dump and the dump so far hasn't been vertical so it might not even hit 42 yet.

My worry is that the monday pumps in the last couple of weeks haven't been able to recover from the weekend dumps. There seems to be an overall downward trend.

Also, most alts are bleeding real bad which means BTC isn't going down just because it's alt season. If we don't start pumping back up above 50k in the next couple of weeks, I'd say we're looking at a soon to come crash.

the reason I'm talking about Berskhire is only their cash position and lack of debt, $147b cash and $0 in debt
the companies they own will most likely continue to provide dividends for Berkshire as well, but yeah, the Fed becoming the buyer of only resort for bonds and having to pump out trillions is the more likely scenario in which case Berkshires cash position will become worthless

Of course, of course, but if we have a ridiculous 70% correction (just talking out of my ass here, but I really think it can happen) will you be happy if your stocks 'just' collapse 50%

>continue to provide dividends for Berkshire as well,

A what, 4-8% divvie won't compensate for a 50% crash.

>I already own gold and gold miners for the likely scenario, would like an option for the less likely scenario as well

But it seems like the less likely scenario is a deflationary spiral, if we assume all stocks collapse and the value of the dollar appreciate... Fed will never let that happen. I just don't see how it could ever come to pass fren.

the idea is to leverage my dollars by buying a solid business with $147b in cash, zero debt and good incomes
I could go out and buy other stocks myself but which to buy? how to find good value amongst thousands of companies in such a scenario? I'm not able to do that that, but Berkshire can handle all that stuff for me
Berkshire can also acquire entire companies, many of which are 100% private! I could never tap into that market

this, looks eerily similar to the GME situation. bunch of overconfident """institutions""" (chink miners cartel) shorting the fuck out of BTC and attempting to crash the price. unfortunately this time retards like Musk and Saylor are buying every dip, and moonfags like Cathie Wood convinced hedge funds and other deep pockets to ape in. now they're scrambling to suppress the price further to exit their positions. it isn't surprising that today went their way since sundays + march are historically bearish, but if 43k is all they can achieve their are about to get liquidated, hard.

Basically. It was easy to see at the 45k buy wall. They were selling straight until it got to the wall. Then bought right back. Waited about an hour and repeat. No one was biting. They finally got past it, but to only get this far, on a sunday? where last year it got slammed (kung flu reasons). This is the best they are going to do. Once it gets back to 44k they have to buy back or suffer even more crippling loss.
Who wins? Everyone but them. Everyone got cheap alts and btc about to moon with stimulus.

you might be right, depending on how hard BTC bounces off the current level it will confirm this theory. they will have to buy to close their short positions after all, but I doubt $43k is low enough for them to break even.
