good thing i bought a good one five years ago

Even we can't buy anything anon, it's all big miners buying shit up. I placed two orders last week and they both got cancelled because shit went out of stock before they processed the order. It's all going directly to the big farms that have connections with retailers. Even at inflated prices you can't buy anything

I don't even need a good one. I just want an affordable, low power consumption gpu that allows me to play HoMM3 in 4k with 1 million fps every once in a while.

Ok, maybe I occasionally also play games that are a little more demanding than HoMM. The point is I don't need an expensive gpu, just something that allows for some 1080p gaming every once in a while.

Just buy an AMD 3400G APU and enjoy.
Motherboard+CPU should be around $250.

I'm still using it right now but I had to turn my PC sideways or else gravity would inevitably cause the fan to fall off again. Maybe this thing has another year or two in it, but maybe it won't and so I thought it would be reasonable to start looking for a replacement.

What I didn't realize is just how many factors are fucking up the gpu market at the same time.

I just replaced my mainboard and cpu about a year ago. If push comes to shove I could consider selling my current cpu (which even increased in price since) and getting an apu for the time being, but it's a solution I would hope to avoid if possible.
