The browser's great, its my new default browser as of last month.

I really do like the idea and implementation of the token as well. However, I don't see how grabbing more tokens as a form of investing would work, since you'd need more widespread use of the Brave browser for a larger market for the token to be used in... and I just don't see that happening. You need to make it usable by normies, and normies just use whatever internet browser is installed on their computer as default.

Advertisers need to buy a certain amount of BAT in order to advertise on Brave.
There will always be BAT sellers. There will always be someone who wants to sell some bat. Also, given that there will eventually be a DEX which will likely reward liquidity providers, yeah no, there will always be an exchange of BAT to be done.
Hm, isn't this argument really stupid? i.e.:
>ETH needs to have widespread use
>Holding ETH would be bad because it needs to be used for stuff and people need to use ETH to pay for gas
>ETH will definitely go down because of this
What is this logic? And why does this argument keep coming up? It genuinely makes no sense and I literally tear it down every thread. Every thread.
Allow me to explain it for the 4th time this week:
>Advertisers need a certain amount of BAT to advertise on Brave
>Advertisers pay for the exchange rate of some set amount of BAT per # of advertisements run, per se
>Advertisers WANT to come to Brave because current ad industry does not work for either publishers nor advertisers due to ad-blockers
>More advertisers on Brave means more demand for BAT
>More demand for BAT means the price goes up
>Supporters of the ecosystem benefit from the rise in price
>Other companies notice BAT going up, or see it on social media, research it, decide to use it for an ad campaign
>Those companies pay in BAT
>BAT price continues to rise
Why does this model work? WELL thank you for asking again:
>Advertisers are getting their ads blocked. Current ad system is fucked for them.
>Users hate seeing ads in-page + They get no reparations for their info being sold to hackers. Fucked for them.
>Publishers are caught in the middle, and also have to collect personal data of users to sell to sketchy 3rd parties in order to keep afloat because nobody is actually clicking on the now blocked ads. Publishers are fucked. Think Facebook lawsuit.
>Creators cannot run ads because they will be blocked. Creators are fucked.
BAT solves this.

This is bullshit, weak ass fud.

Nearly every Chromium-based browser has auto-updates. Why? Because the Chrome team actually gives a fuck about security.

Firefox defaults to Google Search. Firefox also has a commercial relationship with Google and monetizes from Google Search. Brave doesn't (Brendan Eich confirmed on Twitter). So if the answer isn't Brave because Google is the default search engine, what's your alternative? Firefox, where they literally rely on Google money from Google search as their primary revenue lifeline? Goddamn the IQ level is barely double digits in the fud here.

"Built in telemetry"
Brave engineered Privacy Preserving Analytics, and released a post outlining their methodology, which is also open source and auditable. https://brave.com/privacy-preserving-product-analytics-p3a/ This is innovation, moron.

"Even has an opt-out rss-like feed similar to Firefox Pocket"

Look anon, you are really on a retard roll here. Brave got PR when they released their newsreader, because it introduced a privacy preserving CDN that powers the reader and reduces linkability and minimizes data footprint.

https://brave.com/brave-private-cdn/
https://brave.com/brave-today-content/

Seriously, it takes 5min to look this shit up to knock the legs out from under this weak ass fud.

Whoever is hiring these Fiverr pajeets to fudcrawl for BAT is not getting their pesos worth.

Brave is a serious project, unlike the nonsense fud thrown at it by low-IQ smoothbrainers.

- What made IT resist was that Brave ships with the ability to connect with Tor through the browser, but they released an option to disable it for enterprise.

Advertising to normies is where the money's at, and normies don't use ad block. We even have someone in this very thread that thinks adblocks are too annoying to deal with. Why would big, mainstream advertisement companies care about some miniscule portion of the market that is Brave users? Especially if they have to buy in before being able to advertise. Why bother?

I agree that its a great system, I'm just saying that its not going to be used. It'll suffer the same fate as the steam engines that were invented back during the Roman Empire, just some novelty that has massive potential, but just doesn't get implemented and thus mostly forgotten.

I'd counter that normies generally don't buy from or click regular online ads in browser form. The most effective ads right now are probably instagram/facebook ads that target you specifically using the personal information you input into the app.

The beauty of Brave is that it can potentially do that same thing as those apps but in a way that still protects your privacy. Cuts out the middleman but still implements personalized targeting, it's just all stored user-side. Once people/advertisers start fully understanding why Brave's ad ecosystem works, they'll flock to it.

Brave is going after jewgles bread and butter (advertising) which is why they get so much FUD and Google recaptcha likes to randomly start treat brave users as hardened criminals and make them do 40 captchas each time.

why the fuck am i paying for spotify premium lmao, surely youtube and spotify are gonna be pissed at brave at some point?

I've been doing this since 2017. They throw tricks in once and a while to break it but Brave has fixed it every time so far. Google fears this browser because it breaks their shady ad revenue scheme.

Exactly. Also this is why we need a bear market because it helps to identify the good projects. ADA and BAT are one of the few that are holding up pretty well.

BAT has been solid through every BTC dump, it's certainly impressive.

BAT actually has a place in web 3.0 and working. ADA is pure speculation and because of a hard fork and musk shill. Those people stacking ADA are gonna be pissed lol

I like Brave but BAT is literally not needed as a coin and will go below ICO in the coming months. -90%.

DIA is still the best chart on binance.

It's the same or even a bit better than Chrome. My default browser, but don't expect much in rewards. Still more than 0 though, yes. If you want more in free crypto, use Presearch which gives you token for every search until you reach the 4 token daily cap.

I don't have any other investments. Why would I diversify into projects with more risk, and less return? I have about $22k worth of mirandus NFT's if you want to count that, but its just a way for me to pass the time while I watch BAT grind to the top 5.
