I live in Los Angeles. It's basically illegal to hire people and create jobs. I have a business with 5 employees but I have no desire to grow it. If I squeeze out another dollar, socialists already take over 50% and everyday they think of new ways to tax us more.

And its really not just the taxes, there is a socialist institution called the labor board that helps people sue me. I literally had a boomer work about 4 hours a day and he stole property from me but he sued me for unpaid overtime and won.

The point is, its easier to quit then it is to create opportunities. These homeless fell into homelessness, but they could have fallen into opportunity if creating opportunities wasn't illegal.

Minimum wage is another disaster that makes it so none of these people could be hired or trained on the job.

I sold my business and do nothing now, even though I am in the prime of my life at 37 and I should be filled with the desire to grow my income and grow opportunities and jobs and improve my community. But I'm burned out. I will become a Nevada citizen next month to save taxes and then just travel the world a little bit and wait to die.

yes there is a way to do all the record keeping "correct" but its just more hoops and restrictions that stop people from creating value and in their communities

what I didn't explain is that this guy owned his own business in my same field and this was before I was formally a corporation (which I resent because all it is hoops and regulations).

I never wanted to create a job because the employee/employer relationship was toxic, so I searched out other business owners in my field so we could share work. I had a bigger concept that would double and triple the "wages" in my industry by by turning everyone into business owners (like uber) but I could never realize this goal. This boomer took advantage of my lack of record keeping as I was not really working on the "business" that it looked like on paper.

He 100% worked 4 hours a day, I even have the gps records in the truck to prove it. It cost me $25,000 cause I wasted a lot on lawyers not knowing what I was doing.
