This crash was obviously going to happen as the climb was not organic. Investors, wealthy, companies put in major $ around $45k fully expecting it to entice people to push it over $50k. Once they saw 58k drop to 55k the big money began to sell off with a hefty profit all the way back down. Problem was idiots were trying to save the crash and were pushing it up to 50k again allowing more wealthy sellers to exit. These are people that dont put money back into crypto, it went straight to stocks, bonds, banks and other investments. Basically robbing a lot of $ from the crypto markets and the alt coins got the brunt of that.
Because of the unhealthy climb to 50k most February gains were lost in the whole market.
