If I could at least learn to get better prices on them then that might ease the pain some but I always pay too much and end up -10% right from the get go. The real kicker is the way that premium prices are completely wonky in the first 30 minutes, so whether I'm buying to open or selling to close, trading between 9:30 and 10am is just fucked. Sometimes I'm just so far ahead that it doesn't matter, but it's really not a good risk/reward when you consider that even if you don't lose, your profits get slashed by taxes anyways. That and the whole 60 page 1099 I have to trudge through

What happens is you get a rubberbanding effect where when institutions start buying bonds again the yield will be pulled back down and we aren't seeing that.

I think the idea is that as the bond yields go up it's like loading a gun, and eventually once one institution jumps ship from the equity market into bonds, prices in the equity market gap down, causing more institutions to jump ship, and so on.

I'm pretty sure this market movement isn't a transition from equities into bonds but due to fear of that actually happening, which is why growth stocks are collapsing.
