As a serious investor, the OCR announcement has me extremely worried. According to the devs themselves, OCR introduces 10x the efficiency when it comes to gas fees, which means 10x less of the amount of needed Eth, and 10x the amount of data a single Link can process. If you multiply 10*10, you get x100 less need of the Chainlink token, which was already not necessary to begin with. This of course means 100x less value, which would, in it's current state, place the price of a single Link token at $0.25. I'm really worried, should I consider selling?

Even though they have underperformed and created a foolish log jam of projects, I’m still very bullish on the future of link. Notice how coins like ADA are allowed to be vapourware, no users, no product, an actual cult following an actual narcissist who isnt even smart at all, with mininal FUD. Go in threads for it and other coina and you see little FUD, and any you see is ignored and never argued or defended, people tend to just say it doesnt matter, or it will be fixed.

Yet LINK is accused of all of that, while actually having users more than any blockchain outside ETH, having an actual smart visionary CEO who doesn’t constantly need attention, and has a strong working product.

Yet link gets absolutely ripped apart. There was even an autistic person forecasting links failure because a node operator accidentally put the AU/USD price feed as AG/USD for like 10 minutes. Not even link teams error lol.
It’s a crazy level of cognitive dissonance on scale i’ve never seen and to me it’s obvious that LINK is held to the highest standards in all of crypto, more than ETH or BTC. The fudders subconscious are holding it to impeccable standards which is a freudian slip that they too know its the best hold in all of Crypto

Retard. LINK is subsidising the gas fees for nodes. These fees are paid to the Ethereum network, not Chainlink's. So, OCR bringing a 85% reduction in ETH network fees means a bigger bottomline for LINK node operators, which hopefully means Sergey doesn't have to dump 1.5m LINK on our asses every week. It has nothing to do with the demand for the LINK token, which is why the pasta you replied to is such obvious bait.

The added sell pressure by the team to keep the network running made LINK perform so weakly these past months. Simple as.
