I have 48k in savings and want to start investing in Crypto. Can anyone recommend me a Crypto Exchange to use? It would be incredibly helpful, thank you!

Binance for lower fees and larger selection of coins. You'll have to use Binance.US if you're in the US.
Coinbase pro for higher fees, more responsive interface, a collection of supposedly "higher quality" coins and a very reputable name.
If you use coinbase, for the love of god make sure you're using the coinbase pro interface. On regular coinbase you will be paying fees out the ass. I am talking REALLY high. Enough to fuck your profits.
"Coinbase pro" doesn't cost anything extra. It's not a subscription service or anything. It's just a more intricate interface.

Kraken is decent, too.

The other drawback of coinbase, even coinbase pro, is that they don't have a lot of the top cryptos like Cardano. As it stands right now I've got almost my whole stack on binance.us because coinbase doesn't have fucking Cardano, which is variously either the 4th or 5th largest cryptocurrency on the market today.

Oh yeah one more thing is that if you like to do technical analysis then binance is way better (at least the binance.us version is). Kraken is also decent for technical analysis.
That is like, analyzing the charts and the trendlines and stuff.
Even if you're gonna trade on coinbase, though, you can do technical analysis and use the charts on binance or kraken without putting any money in. And if you're a beginning investor you're probably not interested in that bullshit anyway.

Open an account and do the full kyc with at least three exchanges. This way you aren't trapped in a liquidity crisis or unable to get the coin you want when you want it. Also all of these exchanges go down occasionally and being set up on another helps keep your options open.
Coin metro is good and hasn't been mentioned.
I use CB Pro, Binance, Kraken and Coin Metro. If I felt like I needed another it would be Gemini.

The minute uniswap becomes available on a platform like Cardano or something, where the fees are cheap as fuck, I'm completely done with centralized exchanges. But the fees are ridiculous if you don't have a super big stack or you like to trade a lot like I do.
