How do I know if I'm investing too much into retirement? No coinfags please. Need some real advice from oldfags who've made it or in the process of making it.

retirement sounds awesome;
imagine being a 80yo zoomer living in an nursing/retirement house, playing games all day, calling everyone a noob bc you have mastered every game and watched every anime in existence; shitting yourself everyday and make wagies clean it for you, living your last days as you lived your 10s-20s
sounds comfy and you wouldn't spend a lot of money

We need more info.

Age, how much invested, how much are you currently investing and what are you invested in?

Without that you won't get any meaningful advice

I'm nearing 30 with nearly nothing in retirement. Got a white collar job recently. Just put 6k into my Roth IRA for 2020 and my 401k has like 1k. I want to max out my 401k but I only make 70k a year and I'm in a HCL area. I do have about 200k in investments from getting lucky off of crypto.

I feel like I'm way behind in life and need to make some real moves or else I'll be sucking the government's tits when I'm old.

Look up an investment calculator if you start with $200,000 and add 10,000 per year to it and use growth of 7% and at least 20 years.

Looks like you will have over 1.1million, if you max out your Roth plus put 4k a year into your 401k, plus your starting amount of 200k.

You're doing just fine.
