Well, not BTC but LINK, which moves almost exactly with BTC anyway so it's pretty much the same deal.

Good question. I'm not sure. But I wouldn't be too obsessed with trendlines from 2010 and stuff, honestly. I think it's more to do with the fact that miners are trying to get bitcoin and the demand increases after the supply get restricted.

No that is a perfectly valid point. You are correct. I still think crypto is _ mostly _ in it's own little world, though. And if it's not, then that bodes well for bitcoin too because it speaks to a massively increasing demand. Also it could end up that bitcoin ends up like the "new gold". Where people used to flock to gold where the economy crashed, now people might flock to bitcoin.

Except boomers. Boomers like Peter Schiff are still loving their gold. They are buying obsolete rocks and must love having their teeny tiny gains.

The bull run is HIGHLY likely to continue through the entirety of 2021 and then turn bear towards the new year-into the beginning of 2022. Prob January 2022. That's just based on the BTC history and the cycle of bull and bear runs after each halving.

This would require bitcoin to cease its volatility, nobody would like to invest into an asset that spends 90% of its time in a bear market way, way under its peak value. Once you want to cash in its value, it totally depends on the time you need the money - you might get $10k or $100k. Not many people are willing to take such risks.
And IF it ceases its volatility, we little retail speculators are pretty much done for. It will be the same as the stock market, where you have to aim for single-digit returns, if any.
Personally, I'd prefer things to stay as they are, some kind of Wild West, an almost lawless area at the frontier.

It is declining in volatility as time goes on.
I don't know. Bitcoin is volatile but it does seem clear that it's something that a lot of people love as an alternative to cash and traditional investments. So I'm not sure it really needs to "cease volatility" for that to happen.

Anyway, prediction - Bitcoin will eventually fall to zero the moment a viable DeFi alternative comes on the scene. Something like Ethereum except a version of it that doesn't suck. Probably Cardano. Like I said earlier I think, my whole stack is in Ethereum as far as long term, permanent holds. I believe in it.
Eventually bitcoin is just gonna get wrecked. It's a FUCKING shitty protocol from every technical perspective.
